The Yacht Support 53 boasts a bold and practical exterior, with a design that prioritizes both aesthetics and operational efficiency. The vessel’s axe bow shape is engineered to slice through waves, reducing vertical motion for a smoother and more stable ride. This feature enhances comfort during long voyages and rough sea conditions. Forward-raking windows add to the yacht’s distinct appearance while serving a functional purpose. They improve visibility in challenging weather conditions, reduce glare at night, and minimize heat buildup inside the bridge.
The high bow and spray rails of the support vessel work together to keep the deck dry, ensuring safer operations and protecting sensitive equipment from saltwater exposure, even in rough seas. The expansive deck space, covering over 200 square meters, allows for the storage of tenders, submersibles, and adventure gear. Owners can customize the area for entertainment, research, or operational needs.
A heavy-lift 15-tonne crane allows for the effortless deployment of watercraft, vehicles, or other mission-critical equipment. Additionally, the reinforced deck is designed for touch-and-go helicopter landings, giving owners and guests greater flexibility when exploring remote locations.

The yacht can host up to eight guests, along with 11 crew members, including the captain. Every area is designed to support the vessel’s role as a reliable companion to a primary superyacht, ensuring those on board can travel in both style and efficiency.
The motor yacht can reach a top speed of 19 knots, allowing for swift travel between destinations. At a cruising speed of 12 knots, it boasts an impressive range of 5,000 nautical miles, ensuring it can undertake extensive voyages without frequent refueling. The Yacht Support 53 comfortably accommodates up to eight guests and carries a crew of 10, plus the captain.
A Growing Series of Yacht Support Vessels
Damen Yachting introduced the Yacht Support 53 series as a purpose-built solution for yacht owners seeking enhanced operational capabilities. The first vessel in the series, Bad Company Support, was delivered to Anthony Hsieh’s extensive fleet, where it serves as an operational backbone supporting deep-sea fishing expeditions and marine conservation efforts.
The second vessel in the series, Five Oceans, was designed for adventure, exploration, and conservation, reinforcing the Yacht Support 53’s versatility.
