Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.02m beam and a 2.5m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 387 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Sheergold showcases a classic profile, characterized by a traditional raked bow and a canoe stern. Jon Bannenberg, a name synonymous with influential yacht design, is responsible for her timeless appeal. The yacht's hull is constructed from steel, ensuring robust performance across the seas, while her superstructure benefits from the lighter, durable qualities of aluminum.

Sheergold's decks are laid with teak, a choice that combines durability with a natural aesthetic, providing guests with a tactile connection to the craftsmanship of the vessel. The choice of white for both the hull and superstructure, complemented by black for the boot top and below the waterline, creates a striking contrast that underscores the yacht's elegant lines.

The ability to walk around the deck on both the main and upper levels is a feature more commonly found on larger vessels, enhancing the onboard experience by offering unimpeded access to the yacht's exterior spaces. This design choice enables straightforward entry into the accommodation areas from multiple points, enhancing flow.

The upper deck distinguishes itself with the strategic placement of the yacht's tenders forward, freeing up the aft section for a substantial promenade deck. This area boasts a large semicircular settee centered around a table, creating an inviting space for relaxation and socializing. The arrangement maximizes the usability of the deck areas, ensuring guests have ample space to enjoy the open air in comfort and privacy.

Sheergold pampers guests with accommodations for eight in luxurious suites, including a full-beam Owner’s suite with a Jacuzzi, alongside spacious saloons and decks for socializing and relaxation.

Interior Design

The design was spearheaded by Jon Bannenberg, who opted for a chevron wood pattern that is consistently seen throughout the living spaces and corridors.  The use of white and blue leather upholstery in the living spaces adds a touch of sophistication..

The large saloon is elegant, divided by sliding doors from the dining area, which occupies the full width of the superstructure. Windows on either side of the dining area allow for natural light, enhancing the space's welcoming atmosphere. On the upper deck, the layout includes a smaller saloon that serves as an informal gathering spot, offering shade and a comfortable area for guests to enjoy breakfast or casual conversation.

Accommodation

Sheergold offers accommodation for up to eight guests in four suites comprising an owner's cabin located on the main deck, a VIP cabin and two twin cabins. The yacht features a full-beam Owner's suite located on the main deck, which is distinguished by its spacious layout, king-size bed, a Jacuzzi, and separate shower facilities. Large windows envelop the suite, bathing the space in natural light and offering sweeping views of the surroundings.

Below deck, the yacht houses additional guest accommodations, including a VIP cabin that spans the full width of the hull. This cabin is nearly as impressive as the Owner's suite, with a generous layout that includes a large private bathroom, a comfortable seating area, and a writing desk, making it a splendid sanctuary for guests. The remaining two cabins are twin setups, each equipped with private bathrooms, ensuring all guests enjoy privacy and convenience.

Sheergold also accommodates a crew of nine, who are housed in five cabins. This ensures a high staff-to-guest ratio, allowing for impeccable service and attention to detail during the journey.
