Wild Orchid I is a 46m motor yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Benetti in 2010. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by Stefano Righini, while Carlo Galeazzi has designed her interiors.
Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.9m beam and a 2.76m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 2007 with the keel laid under the project name 'Benetti FB 246'. She was delivered to her owners in March 2011.
Accommodation
Wild Orchid I offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 VIP cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512C DITA) 16-cylinder 2,367hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Wild Orchid I is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 60,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
