  • Two Novurania RIBs stored in garage
  • Aft deck sunbathing area
  • Interior in cherrywood, modern classic style

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.5m beam and a 2.3m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 417 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in mid 1996 with the keel laid under the project name 'Flying Dutchman'. She was delivered to her owners in April 1999.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of You & Me features a raked bow that provides a sleek and aerodynamic profile. The deck is constructed from high-quality teak, known for its durability and classic appearance. The hull is painted a deep blue, creating a striking contrast with the white superstructure. The boot top stripe is highlighted in red, adding a distinct visual element above the waterline. Below the waterline, the yacht is finished in black, ensuring a cohesive and polished look throughout.

You & Me is equipped with a giant Venetian blind on the sundeck, allowing for adjustable shade over the dining table. The forward part of the sun deck features a large oval teak table surrounded by seating, complemented by a bar with a teak countertop and seats. The aft section provides a spacious sunbathing area.

The transom hinges down to form a large boarding and bathing platform, providing access to the garage that houses two Novurania RIBs and other water sports equipment. These tenders are launched using a winch system, which avoids the complexity of a hoist system and keeps the center of gravity low.

Interior Design

Entering the main saloon through double sliding glass doors from the aft deck, visitors encounter cherry paneling on all vertical surfaces and beech planking on the floors, partially covered by an oatmeal wool carpet. Furnishings include substantial sofas and armchairs surrounding a large antique-style Indian table made of teak. The dining room follows an antique theme, featuring a walnut table from Baker Furniture and black japanned cane chairs. Between these areas, a library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves houses a reading or games table.

The upper saloon is spacious, taking advantage of the full width of the superstructure. Large glass windows on three sides ensure ample natural light, and despite retaining the same style of joinery and decoration as the main saloon, the upper saloon is brighter. It includes a plasma-screen television built into the forward bulkhead and a concealed music and video system, highlighting its focus on entertainment.

The bridge is straightforward and modern. Numerous screens, including the MCS5 engine-monitoring system, are set in pigeon-blue leather. The layout ensures that the watch officer has all controls within reach, whether seated or standing. Additionally, a small settee and coffee table provide space for onlookers. The starboard side houses grouped communication systems at a desk near the captain's cabin entrance.

At the center of the yacht, a drum-shaped atrium features a semicircular stairway connecting the bridge deck and the accommodation deck. Natural light from a skylight illuminates the upper section, while strategically placed lamps provide adequate lighting for the lower section.

Accommodation

You & Me provides accommodation for up to twelve guests. The arrangement includes five well-appointed cabins: one master suite, two double cabins, and two twin cabins, each with additional fold-down Pullman berths.

The master suite is located on the forward part of the main deck and spans the full beam of the yacht. This spacious suite features large windows on either side of the bed, providing ample natural light and a sense of openness. The suite includes a dressing table on the port side and a comfortable sofa on the starboard side. The cherry paneling and joinery enhance the suite's elegant ambiance, complemented by a soft beige carpet and a modern painting. The en-suite bathroom, accessible through curved doors, offers a central spa bath, a luxurious marble counter with twin white basins, and a steam shower cubicle.

The guest accommodation is located on the lower deck and includes two double staterooms and two twin cabins. Each cabin is designed in a traditional style similar to the master suite but features individual color schemes for carpets, upholstery, and bed covers. The cabins also showcase fine marbles, adding a touch of elegance to the overall decor. The twin cabins are equipped with additional fold-down Pullman berths, making them versatile for various guest configurations.

She is also capable of carrying up to seven crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 396 TB94) 16-cylinder 3,131hp engines, motor yacht You & Me is capable of reaching a top speed of 28 knots, and comfortably cruises at 17 knots. With her 68,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,685 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
