The 47.24m motor yacht Sea Class was delivered to her owners in 1997 by Christensen. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by Donald Starkey, while Glade Johnson Design has designed her interiors.

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.38m beam and a 2.5m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 460 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a touch and go heli-pad.

Construction started in early 1995. She was delivered to her owners in September 1997.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Sea Class includes a large sundeck equipped with shade covers, a substantial sun bed, loungers, and comfortable seats at the helm station. A Jacuzzi is positioned at the bow for additional relaxation options. The upper deck aft features wrap-around teak decks, a bar, and a dining table. The aft section includes a large staircase that leads to a spacious swim platform.

Sea Class features a clipper bow, known for its distinctive curvature, which enhances both its visual appeal and navigational efficiency. The yacht's deck is crafted from teak, offering durability and a timeless look. The hull of Sea Class is finished in a cream color, providing a subtle yet sophisticated appearance. Complementing the hull, the superstructure is painted white, creating a clean and crisp contrast. The boot top and the area below the waterline are both colored black, which not only adds a touch of elegance but also serves practical purposes in terms of maintenance and performance.

Interior Design

The interior design of the Sea Class yacht is functional and elegant. The main saloon is equipped with oversized seating and a coffee table, creating a comfortable environment for relaxation. A pop-up television screen provides entertainment, and the space offers direct access to the aft deck. For formal gatherings, a dining area is positioned just aft of the main foyer, providing seating for all guests.

The sky lounge is designed to be bright and spacious, featuring ample seating, a wet bar, and a games table. The lounge is complemented by a modern entertainment system to ensure a pleasant experience.

Accommodation

Sea Class offers comfortable accommodation for up to 12 guests across six well-appointed cabins. The main deck features a master suite, providing a spacious retreat with ample amenities to ensure a pleasant stay. Additionally, there are four double cabins located on the lower deck. These cabins are versatile and can be converted into twin configurations, catering to various guest preferences.

An extra cabin is situated aft of the master suite. This cabin is designed with flexibility in mind, making it ideal for staff or children. Whether you need space for a nanny or additional family members, this cabin is well-suited for such requirements.

Each guest cabin is equipped with entertainment centers, television screens, and en suite bathroom facilities, adhering to modern standards. This ensures that all guests have access to private and comfortable spaces throughout their stay.

She is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Deutz (TBG 604 BV12) 12-cylinder 2,200hp engines, motor yacht Sea Class is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 45,429 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Sea Class also features an inviting spread of sunpads.
