Cannes Preview - First Look At Debuts For Cannes Yachting Festival 2023

Just three months until the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival opens its doors and the lineup is already starting to shape up, starting with a sneak preview of some of this year's outstanding debuts.

Scheduled to open its doors from 12-17 September, the Cannes Yachting Festival annually attracts some of the biggest shipyards in the world and a surplus of more than 50,000 visitors.

Spread over two marinas, Port Canto and Vieux Port, the Cannes Yachting Festival (CYF) is renowned for being one of the first yacht shows of the season and has always put on a show to impress.

Launching with its inaugural show in 1977 the event is a popular platform of choice for shipyards to host their debuts, thanks to the location and, of course, its influence over the yachting industry.

With so many yachts ready to be unveiled to the world, YachtBuyer has hand selected some of the biggest CYF debuts that have been announced so far.

Arcadia A96

The first of our hot picks is the Arcadia A69. Making her world debut at Cannes this year, our YachtBuyer Intelligence tells us she currently has two hulls, one still in construction, and boasts a collaborative design input from Igor Lobanov.

Offering owners and their guests endless connections to the sea, the Arcadia A96 has a generous beach club environment with fold-down bulwarks and versatile exterior spaces that can transform depending on individual needs.

Measuring up at 29.34m (96.25ft), she offers a maximum speed of 24 knots and a five-cabin layout including a forward main deck master cabin, plus two twins and a pair of double cabins on the lower deck.

Designed by Valerio Rivellini, the Evo R+ has a bold profile and sports the Besenzoni custom aft multifunction platform.

Highly adaptable to each owner's needs, the R+ has a generous swim platform complete with a sun pad for relaxed afternoons in the sun. The enclosed main deck offers shelter and privacy, but with sweeping vistas thanks to extensive glazing.

Azimut Magellano 60

Azimut returns to the Cannes Yachting Festival with the world premiere of the new Magellano 60.

A yacht that has appeal for long voyages full of adventure and traditional charm, the flybridge yacht is equipped with a second-generation Dual Mode hull and offers a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

At the stern, guests can enjoy an extended aft deck with a swim platform allowing easy access to the sea. The interiors feature full-height windows for outstanding views plus all the facilities needed for a relaxing voyage around the Mediterranean.

Prestige M8

Designed in collaboration with Garroni Design, the Prestige M8 is the new flagship for the M-Line range and offers a new take on multihulls with a narrower but taller superstructure.

Offering over 270sqm of living space, the M8 has interiors penned by Valentina Militerno de Romedis with multiple options giving the ultimate versatility for style and finish. Combining French and Italian approaches to yacht building, the Prestige M8 is the must-see multihull from this year's global debuts.

Solaris Power 52 Open

The Solaris Power 52 Open brings a powerful punch to our list of hot picks of global debuts for Cannes, with naval architecture penned by Brunello Acampora of Victory Design.

Sporting fold-down bulwarks, adding more space to an already generous aft deck, the 52 Open resembles a floating beach club with sun pads and ample space for movement around the main deck.

Overnight accommodation is spacious for a yacht this size thanks to the shape of the hull, allowing the beam to be placed further forward. Combined with the timeless, minimalist interior appeal, the latest offering from Solaris Power is certainly set to make waves.
