First Ferretti 1000 yacht in build

After 40,000 hours of research and development, Ferretti Yachts has announced the first hull in their new Ferretti 100 range is now in build. 

The new Ferretti 1000 measures 30.5m or 100', and will follows in the footsteps of the multi-award-winning Ferretti 960. 

'A new icon is taking shape', according to Ferretti Yachts, as the Italian shipbuilder took to social media to announce that the first hull in their hotly-anticipated new range is now under construction.

Scheduled for a 2021 delivery, initial details of the circa 30.5m new yacht state the carbon-fiber five-cabin yacht will be powered by twin MTU 16V 2000 M86 engines which deliver 2200 mhp.

Giving a top speed of 28 knots with a cruising speed of 24 knots.

Ferretti Yachts 1000 is the brand’s flagship and it heralds a new style based on even more simple and clean-cut forms. They give the yacht a strong, spontaneous and graceful appearance with an extremely fresh and vibrant silhouette. The new concept for on board flows that have been introduced here are set to become an iconic part of all of the large vessels in the range. The Ferretti 1000 is a flybridge yacht, and this hull features naval architecture by Ferretti's in-house team, exterior design by Filippo Salvetti and interiors by ideaeITALIA. 

According to Ferretti, the new model was the subject of 40,000 hours of research and development centering around the naval architecture and design of the mould.

New details released from the Italian shipyard indicate a choice of two interior themes of classic, featuring soft and more traditional tones, or a bolder contemporary aesthetic with touches of teal throughout.

This hull forms the Italian yard's new flagship range. It follows on from the success of several models which are still in production, including the Ferretti 920 and the Ferretti 960. Both of these ranges have been popular among those looking to buy a yacht which marries style, speed and performance.
