Viking Yachts has revealed the first hull of its largest-ever express style yacht, the 54 Sport Tower (ST), is nearing completion.
The new model is one of three being introduced to the Viking Yachts fleet, the others being the 54 Open (O) and the 54 Sport Coupe (SC). They will sit alongside the 54 Convertible (C), which made a notable world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show last year where it took home the Best of Show Award.
The first hull last week emerged from the manufacturing plant to be launched, with a series of measurements and in-water inspections taking place. The next steps will see it receive its custom tuna tower and navigation, communication and entertainment package.
The 54 ST model features a 14.3m (154 sq. ft) cockpit with twin mezzanine seating with cooler storage below and a choice of a two or three-stateroom layout. The standard propulsion package features twin MAN V12 1400CRM engines, although hull number 1 uses the optional MAN V12 1550CRM engines.
In keeping with every Viking yacht for sale, the 54 series of yachts offer significant customization, with both the 54 O and 54 ST available without a tuna tower and all three models available to be outfitted with custom electronics, communications and entertainment systems. The three models also run on the same advanced hull form as the successful 54 C.
The new yachts in the 54 series will make their world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this October, where the 54 SC model will take center stage.
