Despite the rain on day one of the celebratory 65th anniversary edition, the plethora of motor yachts gleamed in the marinas around Fort Lauderdale, with many striking debuts making their presence known around the pontoons.
Welcoming around 100,000 visitors throughout the duration of the show, FLIBS put on a show of shows for 2024, with almost 100 debuts around the exhibits and 1,000 exhibiting brands providing ample opportunities to explore the latest innovative products and boats for sale.
Timing for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show was on point this year, coinciding with the opening of the Las Olas Marina extension. Kicking off the construction in May 2022, the additional 7,000 linear feet of docks allowed FLIBS to host a larger display of superyachts, paving the way for bigger showcases from attending shipyards in future editions.
Hosting 177 superyachts for sale, the average asking price for attending yachts at the 2024 edition of FLIBS was $14M, with an average LOA of 37.47m (122.93ft).
Welcoming the return of many popular attractions, visitors attending FLIBS enjoyed ongoing displays of watersports demonstrations, plus immersive displays of exotic cars, helicopters, and tenders.
Live entertainment adorned the marinas, but naturally, it was the 1300+ boats and yachts for sale that were the stars of the show.
Globally renowned shipyards were found all around the seven locations of FLIBS, many of which returned from previous editions, including Sunseeker, Ferretti, and Sanlorenzo.
Making her mark as the largest in show, 78.43m (257.4ft) superyacht AMARYLLIS made a great impression on the American audience with her first return to the show after a decade. Previously seen at the Monaco Yacht Show, the striking Abeking & Rasmussen superyacht elegantly showcased her captivating aesthetics, alongside other striking yachts like the multi-award winning 72m (236.3ft) motor yacht CASINO ROYALE, and 70m (229.8ft) Amadeus superyacht AMADEUS, who made her show debut this year.
With the next US-based yachting event scheduled for 12 - 16 February 2025 at the Miami International Boat Show, now is a great time to take a closer look at some of the yachts that attended the 2024 edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
