Gulf Craft's latest sales figures put it on track to be "one of the world’s top 5 shipbuilders"

The Middle Eastern yard has revealed a 42 percent growth in its order book as it has also extended its presence into twelve new countries across the globe.

Gulf Craft has again demonstrated the strength of the superyacht industry, claiming its latest sales figures put it on track to be one of the world’s top 5 shipbuilders by 2025.

The UAE-based yard has just revealed a 42 percent growth in its order book over the first six months of 2021 compared to the whole of 2020. It has secured 71 orders from January to June this year, with 32 boats already delivered to customers around the world.

The increased demand has coincided with a push by the yard to extend its range into twelve new countries. In particular, there has been a focus on increasing its presence in Europe with distribution channels set up in Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and Portugal.

The company has also strengthened its foothold in the Maldives, with the announcement it is developing a new factory in the island nation and that it intends to double the size of its operations within the next 16 months.

Gulf Craft CEO Talal Nasralla said: “The strong performance in the first half of this year reflects the growing appeal of Gulf Craft’s vessels among boaters from across the world, who appreciate our exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. We have seen demand increase exponentially across all our five brands – from entry-level family boats to luxury superyachts, with customers from the GCC region, the US, Europe, and Australia. We are firmly on track to become one of the world’s Top 5 shipbuilders by 2025.”

The most significant project for the yard so far this year has been its 53.34m (175ft) Majesty 175, which is both Gulf Craft’s largest yacht and the world’s largest composite production yacht. Having completed her sea trials earlier this year, she is set to be delivered to her Owner by the end of the season. The company has also delivered a Majesty 100 and a Majesty 120, with two further hulls of the latter already in production.

Gulf Craft has developed from building small runabouts and fishing boats in the early 1980s to being recognised as a leading superyacht builder with a fleet encompassing everything from flybridge cruisers to tri-deck superyachts. To find out more view all Gulf Craft yachts for sale.
