Oceanco unveils two striking 80m Simply Custom concept yachts

Oceanco introduces two new Simply Custom concept 80m (262.4ft) yachts, Portofino and Storm, in collaboration with H2 Yacht Design.

Navigating a traditional fully custom yacht build can be a time-intensive endeavor. Recognizing the desire of yacht owners to expedite their maritime adventures, Oceanco has introduced its semi-custom range, streamlining the commission-to-delivery process.

The designs reflect Oceanco's dedication to innovative and customizable yacht concepts, with Portofino in an elegant white and Storm in a bold black, offering versatile options for prospective clients within the Dutch builder's semi-custom 80m range.

Leveraging Oceanco's renowned expertise in yacht building, prospective buyers can trust in the exceptional build quality, allowing them to concentrate on infusing their personal touch into their new 80m yacht. This approach ensures a smoother and more efficient journey towards yacht ownership.

Oceanco's Simply Custom range is underpinned by a cutting-edge technical foundation, incorporating state-of-the-art, all-electric propulsion and an advanced energy architecture system. Coupled with Oceanco's stringent standards for noise reduction, minimal vibration, and exceptional sea-keeping capabilities, a new owner can be confident in acquiring nothing short of the finest vessel at sea.

The Portofino model, presented in a striking black, is characterized as timeless, skillfully blending modern elements into its design details, notably the "dramatically shaped" transom. This yacht features key design elements like a sculpted superstructure, gracefully tapered decks, and extended lines of glazing bordered by glass bulwarks.

The Storm, in a cool white, is characterized as having an "aggressive and sleek design," drawing inspiration from the Bentley coupe. It evokes a "sense of speed and elegance from a bygone era." Notably, a waterfront beach club unfolds on two sides with sweeping arches on both the port and starboard sides, fostering a connection to the water.

Lateral Naval Architects spearheads the engineering and naval architecture of the line, while the yacht's exteriors benefit from the collective expertise of 17 invited designers. For interiors, clients have the flexibility to heavily customize, but Oceanco has curated a shortlist of designers, ensuring a collaboration with professionals best suited to bring their vision to life.
