Palma announces new Innovation Corner for upcoming event in April

The Palma International Boat Show is set to embrace start-ups at the 2023 event, with organizers announcing a new Innovation Corner.

Scheduled to run from 27-30 April, the forthcoming event hosted at the picturesque Marina Moll Vell will now be equipped to offer platform connecting larger industry influencers with new innovators who can showcase trends of where the future of yachting lies.

Launched in collaboration with Yachting Ventures,  the new Innovation Corner will be integrated into the Palma Superyacht Village with its own dedicated space and an exclusive outdoor terrace.

Demonstrating the latest technologies and innovations, this corner will feature a curated collection of start-up firms, which will be chosen by Yachting Ventures based on what they can bring to the yachting industry.

We are eager to meet the selected start-ups participating in the Innovation Corner and offer them the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the attendees of PIBS this year.

Expecting around 300 exhibitors for the 2023 edition, the Palma International Boat Show, also known as PIBS, is expecting to showcase a broad range of motor yachts and sailing boats this April, with 264 attending for the 2022 edition. Whether you're looking for the latest flybridge, or want some something small and speedy, there's something for every owner at the show.

Experiencing a substantial increase in footfall during the last edition, with numbers effectively doubling to 32,000, organizers of PIBS are anticipating equally promising attendance figures as the world adapts to the new normal.

The announcement from Palma follows in the footsteps of this year's introduction of the Blue Innovation Dock at Boot Dusseldorf. Innovations and sustainability are gaining more traction in the yachting industry, with more and more shipyards also pledging to do their part in creating a greener industry.
