Rossinavi has collaborated with Dean Anthony to hand over custom superyacht EIV to an American Owner, as part of the Italian yard’s growing interest in the booming U.S. market.
Originally constructed under the name Project Vector 50 as the “little sister” of the 63m (207ft) motor yacht Utopia IV, motor yacht EIV had the brief of condensing features usually reserved for a 60m (197ft) superyacht into a sub-50m (164ft) hull. Plus, her gross tonnage is below 500 GT.
The superyacht has room for eight guests in four en-suite double rooms below deck, while the Owner’s suite accommodates two people on the main deck. It’s a full-beam cabin that gets its own intimate private terrace.
The slender exterior was penned by Venice’s Team for Design and draws inspiration from sports cars in its sleek lines and sharp angles. The fast-displacement aluminium hull (the superstructure is aluminium, too) has a draft of just over 2m (6.5ft), making it ideal for cruising in the shallow waters of Florida and the Bahamas.
Other key components, such as the electrical system, were made in the USA itself and are compliant to American standards.
On the main deck, EIV has floor-to-ceiling glass windows, creating a strong connection between the interior and exterior while also flooding the guests in natural light. Amidships, a spiral staircase wraps around a transparent glass elevator.
The interior also has a soothing and understated colour scheme of whites and greys, while using extravagant materials such as onyx. The fabrics and light art pieces are exclusively Italian-made, designed to create an ambience of elegance inside.
The yacht is powered by a pair of 2,000hp engines, giving EIV a 19-knot top speed and a 17.5-knot cruising speed. Her range is 3,600 nautical miles.
