Design & Construction
Designed around a fast displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.9m beam and a 2.29m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 498 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in June 2020 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2020.
Exterior Design
Under the masterful eye of designer Enrico Gobbi and Venice-based studio Team for Design, EIV embodies a remarkable automotive inspiration that is evident throughout her 50-meter length. The yacht's exterior design draws you in with a stainless-steel grille work reminiscent of a luxury coupe's front fascia, particularly suggestive of the Bentley Continental GT. This automotive influence extends to the oversized white bulwarks and the sophisticated silver paintwork that wraps EIV in an aura of elegance and high performance.
The yacht's profile is marked by a series of styling cues that reinforce her automotive inspiration. The long "sword" cut into the superstructure, just beneath the upper saloon window, and the sweeping curve of the reverse bow contribute to EIV's dynamic appearance. The aerodynamic slant of the wheelhouse windows, together with a low-profile sundeck and the subtle hint of a rear spoiler found in the overhangs of the aft decks, further enhance the vessel's sporty aesthetic.
At the pinnacle of the yacht, the sundeck is a marvel of design, featuring a contra-flow swimming pool that adds a touch of wellness to the onboard experience. The pool, discreetly integrated into the sundeck, is ingeniously hidden behind side rollbar wings, ensuring that the yacht's sleek lines remain uninterrupted while providing a private and luxurious relaxation space.
The EIV's exterior design is not just about aesthetics; it is also functionally innovative. The beach club area boasts a cooling plunge pool, revealed when the transom opens, offering a seamless connection with the sea. This area is complemented by a gym and steam room, providing an indulgent escape for guests.
The technical spaces of EIV are meticulously designed, with a compact layout that ensures efficient operation. This precision engineering is analogous to the interior of an Apple Mac, where space is optimized and every component is accounted for, resulting in a highly functional and streamlined environment.
Interior Design
The interior color palette is a serene mix of natural tones—subtle greys and an elegant off-white "greige"—that evoke the tranquility of the sea and sky. This muted backdrop is accented with gleaming stainless steel and hints of azure, connecting the indoor luxury to the expansive oceanic surroundings.
Attention to detail is paramount aboard EIV, as evidenced by the artful guest cabin doors. Each door is a unique work of art, featuring brass details and leather inserts, and is personalized with the name of a famous historical Italian artist—a nod to the owner's love for Italy. The use of backlit onyx throughout the yacht adds a touch of drama and sophistication, carefully integrated beneath the dining table and within the bathrooms' basins. The distribution of light through the onyx required specialized knowledge to ensure flawless execution, a task expertly managed by Rossinavi's chosen subcontractors.
The main lobby of EIV is a focal point for the vessel's artistic sensibility, showcasing stunning hand-blown Murano glass pieces that pay homage to the work of Amedeo Modigliani. This artistry extends throughout the yacht with abstract paintings and exquisite marble statuettes and carvings, all designed by Gobbi and sourced from artists in Italy, the UK, and the US.
Practicality and luxury converge in the galley, where a professional chef's input has led to a design featuring top-tier stainless-steel worktops and appliances that exceed industry standards. The custom 300-bottle wine fridge, equipped with thermostatic controls for various wine types, reflects the owner's commitment to quality and the enjoyment of fine wine.
The dining area, capable of accommodating 12 guests, offers an immersive indoor/outdoor experience with balconies unfolding to the sea on both sides. The upper deck saloon doubles as a cinema, providing an entertainment haven for guests.
Accommodation
EIV is meticulously designed to accommodate up to 12 guests within its luxurious confines, ensuring that each individual is treated to the utmost exclusivity and privacy.
The guest quarters consist of four spacious double cabins located on the lower deck, each boasting its own unique character. Attention to detail is evident throughout these cabins, with bespoke art pieces adorning the doors and high-quality materials creating an ambiance of understated elegance. The cabins are named after famous historical Italian artists, adding a touch of cultural sophistication to the guest experience.
Above all, the owner's suite is an opulent sanctuary situated on the main deck. Designed with an expansive layout, the suite offers generous space that includes a dedicated office area, where gleaming stainless steel contrasts with a muted color palette, creating an environment that is both serene and conducive to productivity. The suite's design is thoughtfully considered, providing an environment that is not only visually stunning but also immensely comfortable and private.
The owner's suite is complemented by an en-suite bathroom, where the luxurious use of materials such as backlit onyx elevates the sense of indulgence. The attention to detail extends to the lighting, with specialist knowledge ensuring the perfect ambiance is achieved without the presence of visible supports.
Accommodation for a crew of nine has also been given careful consideration, with spaces designed to maximize comfort and functionality. The galley, for example, is fitted with top-tier appliances and designed by a professional chef, reflecting the highest standards of the northern European yachting industry. This attention to the crew's working environment underlines the holistic approach to design and luxury that characterizes the entire yacht.
Performance & Capabilities
EIV's engineering prowess begins with its twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines that deliver a breathtaking 5,200 horsepower. This formidable power translates to an exhilarating top speed of 19 knots, while a comfortable cruising speed of 14 knots ensures that EIV can glide through the waters with grace and efficiency.
The yacht's design elegantly balances speed with range, offering the perfect synthesis for those who wish to explore without constraints. EIV's fuel capacity and efficient hull design enable an impressive range of 3,600 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots, allowing her to voyage to coveted destinations while ensuring that the journey is as enjoyable as the arrival.
A pivotal feature of EIV is her shallow draft of just 2.3 meters, which has been carefully considered to suit the needs of the owner. This allows EIV to traverse the shallower waters of the Bahamas and Biscayne Bay, providing unparalleled access to some of the world's most exclusive and idyllic cruising grounds. Such a draft, paired with the yacht's powerful engines, enables swift island-hopping, ensuring that no destination is beyond reach.
In terms of stability and comfort, EIV is equipped with advanced stabilizers that maintain a smooth and steady experience for guests, even in less than ideal sea conditions. These stabilizers not only enhance onboard comfort when at anchor but also contribute to the yacht's performance while underway, allowing for a more pleasant journey regardless of the ocean's temperament.
Rossinavi's meticulous attention to detail extends to the yacht's technical spaces. The compact design of these areas, achieved through precision in 3D modeling and design, ensures that every system operates at peak efficiency. This optimization not only benefits the vessel's performance but also maximizes the available space for guest areas, allowing for more expansive and luxurious accommodations.
Amenities
Ensuring everyone on board can enjoy the water to the fullest, luxury yacht EIV offers a large beach club connected to a swim platform, with plenty of space for lounging and soaking up the sea views. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort, while underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down and an elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible. Crowning the yacht is a spacious sundeck with an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
