Tommaso Spadolini’s new 33m concept ready to be built

With the design and specification completed for the 32.8m (107.6ft) motor yacht, the designer and Owner are now shortlisting yards to build the concept.

Italian designer Tommaso Spadolini’s latest project is set to become a reality as the designer and new Owner look for a yard to bring the concept to life.

Spadolini has designed the 32.8m (107.6ft) light alloy motor yacht according to a number of requirements from the Owner, an Italian entrepreneur.

"The Owner had imposed a number of non-negotiable constraints on me, including the dimensions, linked to a very precise choice that also takes into account the current berth,” says the Tuscan designer.

“The yacht had to fit in its mooring place (33 x 8 metres). The other requirement was a full-beam main salon, therefore a large living area with the dining room on another deck to keep the two different moments on board separate, and, finally, continuity between the exterior and interior spaces, which required the extensive use of folding doors, especially on the upper deck."

The choice of construction material, light alloy, also came from the Owner’s request for a fast yacht. Powered by four Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines, she will be able to reach a top speed of around 26 knots, with a cruising speed of 20 knots.

The three-deck yacht provides accommodation for 12 guests in two VIP and two guest cabins on the lower deck and a main deck Owner’s cabin.

Other highlights of the 32.8m (107.6ft). concept include a full-beam salon with a total surface area of just under 50 square meters (538 sq ft), an upper deck dining area that can be opened up to create a single space with an aft living area with sofas and two solariums and a tender garage with room for a 5.05m (16.5ft) Williams Jet tender.

Tommaso Spadolini has been behind the design of over 50 yachts that are currently on the water. This concept will be the second-largest yacht he has penned, behind the Cantiere Delle March built CROWBRIDGE delivered in 2020 and measuring 42m (138ft).

Spadolini has strong ties with Horizon Yachts and Possillipo, having collaborated with them on 19 and 17 yachts respectively, but it remains to be seen which yard will be selected to build this concept now the design and specifications have been defined.
