Seen for the first time, the in-build superyacht is believed to be named LUMINENCE and it is estimated she will be somewhere between 136m (446ft) and 158m (518ft) in length. The yacht will join the ranks of the world's biggest yachts and a place in the Top 100.
She currently in the assembly phase, with a move planned in the near future to Lurssen’s outfitting facility in Lemwerder, where she will remain until her planned launched in 2022.
If the rumors are true LUMINENCE will take her place in the top 10 Lurssen builds by length, a list that is currently headed by 180.65m (593ft) AZZAM, the world's largest yacht by length. She would also give Lurssen another yacht in the world's top 100 yachts by length, where they already account for 29 yachts.
The scale of this secretive new build should not come as a total surprise, YachtBuyer intelligence reveals Lurssen has delivered 52 yachts since 2000 with an average length of 94.8m.
