On Deck

Nick starts the tour at the back of the yacht, drawing attention to the optional hi-lo platform and the transom locker that provides ample storage for deck gear, canopies, fenders, etc. He appreciates the glass infinity view out of the back of the boat and the freestanding modular furniture that can be rearranged according to the owner's preference. There is also an awning that provides shade on the deck.

More features of the exterior of the yacht are large sunbathing cushions, storage lockers for deck gear, and a Volvo Penta system for holding the boat in position.

Interior

Inside the yacht, Nick notes the aft galley layout that caters straight out to the back of the boat. The 360-degree view from the galley and the blinds that can be lowered for privacy are both highlighted. The lounge area is equipped with a hi-lo table that can be used for dining or as a coffee table.

An intriguing feature is the solar panels over the entire roof and can power almost all of the electrical systems. The helm position comes with a side access door, perfectly designed for owners to operate themselves.

The yacht features a new guided docking system from Raymarine and Volvo Penta, which uses sensors to prevent the boat from colliding with nearby objects. A switch panel allows for easy control of all the 24-volt and 240-volt systems.

Nick is impressed by the amount of space and functionality packed into the 48-foot boat, especially the use of pocket doors that save space. The master cabin is located in the bow, with the bed offset to create a surprisingly spacious room with large windows that offer an outstanding view. The cabin is ensuite and comes with a wardrobe that lights up as you open it.

There are two more cabins on the boat – one with twin beds and another with a larger bed. The Absolute 48 Coupé has a clever design that extends the second cabin right to the edge of the boat, maintaining full standing headroom.

Performance

The engine compartment houses a pair of Volvo Penta D6 IPS-650 engines that give the boat a top speed of just under 30 knots and a range of about 250 miles at cruising speeds. The engine compartment is very spacious, which is attributed to the absence of a tender garage.

In Summary

Overall, Nick seems impressed with the Absolute 48 Coupé's design and features, appreciating the thought that has gone into making the yacht spacious, functional, and easy to operate.
