RINA Platinum Green Plus Award

The RINA Platinum Green Plus Award is presented each year to a yacht 131 feet in length or longer that best exemplifies green credentials. It is awarded each September as part of the Monaco Yacht Show.

The award criteria covers everything from fuel consumption to overall environmental impact during construction.

RINA is a standard of safety that originated in Italy - standing for Registro Italiano Navale. It began its activities in Genoa in 1861, making it one of the world’s oldest classification societies. Over the years it has expanded its activities, and made one of its goals to promote a more environmentally friendly way to boat.
