The 242'9" motor yacht Avanti was delivered to her owners in 2022 by Dutch shipyard Amels. She features exterior design by Tim Heywood Design and interior styling by Winch Design.
Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 40'11" beam and a 12'8" draft. The yacht is built over 6 decks with an internal volume of 1,790 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
Construction started in late 2018 with the keel laid under the project name 'Shadow'. This was the sixth yacht built on the Amels 242 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2020 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in February 2022.
Accommodation
Avanti offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 VIP cabins and 3 double cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 19 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516E) 2,855hp engines, motor yacht Avanti is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 46,230 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
