Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.3m beam and a 3.2m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 629 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
Aqua Mare features a raked bow that enhances its aerodynamic efficiency and provides a sleek profile. The hull is painted in a deep blue, offering a striking contrast to the white superstructure. The deck is crafted from teak, known for its durability and classic appeal. The boot top, a critical element for both function and aesthetics, is finished in white, matching the superstructure and enhancing the yacht's clean lines. Below the waterline, the hull is painted black, a practical choice that complements the overall color scheme while providing resilience against marine elements.
Aqua Mare's structure includes side decks that run half the length of the main deck until the superstructure widens at the main entrance lobby. Stairs from this point lead to the bridge deck, where a walkway continues around the front of the bridge to the foredeck. This design choice eliminates a full walk-around deck at either the main or bridge levels, resulting in a significant increase in internal volume.
The sundeck is a focal point, featuring a 6-person Jacuzzi, plush loungers, and a convenient bar. The yacht also includes an intimate beach club with a swim platform that provides direct access to the sea. This feature allows guests to easily use the yacht's various water toys and accessories, maximizing their time spent on the water.
Interior Design
The main and upper salons feature large areas of paneling with book-matched veneers that serve as backdrops for modern paintings. The use of plain beige carpets and Novasuede overhead panels ensures that the natural beauty of the wood remains the focal point. Silk cushions in various colors provide subtle accents against the neutral backgrounds.
The upper saloon, a full-beam space, includes a horseshoe sofa encircling a glass-topped table. This area also houses a pair of plasma-screen televisions set at an angle for optimal viewing. Additional amenities in the upper saloon include a bar, a writing desk, and a lobby, all designed to complement the room's primary functions.
The 'water saloon' is located at the stern where tender garages are typically found. This space is intended to maintain a close connection with the sea while providing the comfort of an air-conditioned interior. Panoramic windows open onto the aft bathing platform, folding back to offer an unobstructed sea-level view.
The galley is equipped to meet high standards, supported by a food-lift that serves the uppermost decks. This setup ensures efficient service to the adjacent bar and grill areas. The helm area is designed with functionality in mind, featuring Kelvin Hughes radar screens and a variety of VDU screens for multiple displays, including forward-looking sonar and an infra-red night-vision camera. The helm's local area network allows for real-time weather updates and comprehensive monitoring of the yacht's systems.
Accommodation
Aqua Mare accommodates up to 16 guests in 7 cabins, ensuring a comfortable and tranquil stay. The layout includes a spacious owner suite that offers a private retreat for the principal guest.
She is also capable of carrying up to 11 crew. Access to the crew quarters is designed for discretion, with a corridor leading forward from the guest lobby to ensure that the stewardesses may come and go unobtrusively.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516B) 16-cylinder 1,978hp engines, motor yacht Aqua Mare is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 128,190 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,606 nautical miles at 14 knots.
Amenities
In addition, adjoining the water, a beach club lets those on board enjoy the feeling of being close to the sea.
