Design & Construction

Designed around a planing aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.2m beam and a 1.9m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 356 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

The vessel's hull is crafted from high-grade aluminum, a material choice that underscores the yacht's blend of durability and performance. Blue Ice's design is characterized by its clean lines and functional features which, combined with the yacht's impressive performance capabilities, create an attractive proposition for discerning mariners.

On the aft deck, Blue Ice incorporates multiple seating areas under a substantial overhang, offering ample space for relaxation and socializing. The absence of traditional side decks allows for a more expansive interior, but boarding gates on each side and a passerelle assure convenient access to the yacht. The transom wall, which folds up to reveal the garage, is another notable feature, emphasizing the yacht's practical design by providing storage space for tenders and enabling it to double as a beach club.

The upper deck is accessible via stairs in all four corners of the yacht, leading to a space that boasts an array of amenities including loungers, sun pads, and a covered dining area, all laid out on a deck that stretches nearly the full-length of the yacht.

Blue Ice's commitment to guest experience is evident in the care taken to design living quarters that are both functional and inviting, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all aboard.

Interior Design

The main salon features expansive U-shaped seating, accommodating large gatherings with ease, while a separate eating area provides an informal dining space. Large windows envelop the space, allowing for ample natural light and views of the surrounding seascape.

Adjacent to the main salon, a bar area with sink and refrigeration offers convenience and utility for entertaining guests. The design incorporates a variety of materials, including glass-encased rock features that add an intriguing visual element to the space. A mix of wood and glass is used throughout, with Italian stylistic influences from Baglietto evident in the craftsmanship and finishings.

The formal dining area is set apart by its unique round table, surrounded by comfortable seating under blue accent lighting that reflects off intricate woodwork. The area functions not only as a dining space but also as a focal point for social interaction, encapsulating the vessel's design ethos of creating versatile living spaces.

The bridge of Blue Ice is designed for functionality, with a futuristic steering wheel and dual captain's chairs providing a comfortable and efficient workspace for the crew. The helm station is housed within a distinctive bubble-like structure that protrudes from the front of the yacht, offering panoramic visibility.

The galley is equipped for professional use, with high-end Gaggenau appliances and a Miele induction cooktop. Efficiency and practicality are key in this space, with ample cold storage, a built-in espresso machine, and a large walk-in refrigerator allowing for extensive provisioning. Double sinks and a Miele dishwasher aid in the clean-up process, ensuring smooth operation during meal preparations.

Accommodation

Blue Ice offers accommodation configured to host up to 10 guests across a selection of five well-appointed suites. The layout includes an expansive owner's suite, two double cabins, and two twin cabins, each designed to provide comfort and privacy for all guests aboard. The yacht ensures ample space and facilities to accommodate a complement of up to 10 crew members, dedicated to delivering a superior level of service.

The owner's suite is a full-beam stateroom that features a luxurious king-sized bed, extensive wardrobe space, a dressing table, and a comfortable seating area beside the windows. The suite includes an ensuite bathroom with a significant standalone soaking tub, separate shower with rainfall feature, toilet, bidet, and a distinctive sink area.

Adjacent to the owner's suite are two double cabins which can be considered VIP suites due to their generous size, large beds, and exquisite woodwork. Each cabin has a private ensuite bathroom equipped with a stylish sink and a spacious shower, complemented with elegant teak flooring.

The yacht's twin cabins are notably spacious, one of which includes an additional bunk, enabling various sleeping configurations for guests, such as children or additional company. These rooms are equipped with built-in storage, televisions, and ensuite bathrooms with showers, toilets, and bidets.

In terms of crew accommodation, Blue Ice is equipped with well-designed cabins for up to 10 and a crew mess, ensuring those who work on board have their own dedicated spaces. The captain's quarters are conveniently located next to the bridge, providing ease of access and a measure of privacy.

Performance & Capabilities

Blue Ice's propulsion is provided by twin diesel MTU 12V 4000 M90 engines, each producing a considerable 2,199 horsepower at 2100 rpm. These powerful 12-cylinder engines enable Blue Ice to achieve an impressive top speed of 28 knots and when cruising, the vessel maintains a strong pace of 26 knots.

Despite her swift capabilities, Blue Ice also excels in endurance. With substantial fuel tanks holding 35,000 liters, she boasts a maximum range of 1,000 nautical miles when operating at a more economical speed of 12 knots. This balance between speed and range makes her well-suited for both spirited jaunts and extended voyages, ensuring that guests can enjoy a variety of cruising experiences. Her planing hull enables Blue Ice to move efficiently through the water, minimizing resistance and maximizing speed.

Onboard stabilization systems work to keep the yacht comfortably balanced at sea, ensuring that guests experience minimal disruption from waves and that the vessel remains steady whether at speed or anchored. These stabilizers significantly enhance the comfort of all aboard, making the journey as pleasant as the destination.
