  • Flybridge bar and pop-up TV
  • Main deck master with skylight
  • Hydraulic swim platform with beach club
  • Semi-enclosed skylounge with grill

Design & Construction

Designed around a fast displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.08m beam and a 1.75m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 95 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the sixth yacht built on the FD87 design.

Exterior Design

Genesis is a Horizon FD87 that leans into the FD Series’ hallmark features - strong, masculine lines balanced by generous outdoor areas and an eye for contemporary comfort. On the aft deck, guests can dine alfresco around a folding-leaf hi/low table, surrounded by cushioned seating for eight to ten. A Vitrifrigo fridge and a Raritan ice maker are tucked discreetly nearby - handy for longer lunches or evening cocktails without heading inside.

Down at the waterline, a hydraulic swim platform with a 1,134kg (2,500lb) capacity makes tender access and water sports easy. There’s a concealed swim ladder, integrated sunshade and a beach club space designed for lazy afternoons at anchor. The platform is also used to launch the included 2020 Twin Vee 24’ tender, powered by twin 140 hp Suzuki outboards.

The foredeck creates a more private escape, laid out with a C-shaped settee, table and wide sunpads.  Up top, the flybridge is designed as a semi-enclosed skylounge with a newly introduced micro bridge. The structure supports a larger boat deck aft, which doubles up as an indoor-outdoor entertainment space and tender stowage. A lightweight hardtop covers the area and has been designed to work as a touch-and-go helipad. It’s also fitted with a hydraulic telescopic radar arch. Glass panels slide back to open up the space, where a U-shaped dinette, a large bar area with stools, and a barbecue grill complete the social set-up.

A Steelhead davit rated to 1,134kg (2,500lb) is installed for lifting and stowage of toys or tenders.

Aboard Genesis, the flybridge invites guests to unwind, dine, and take in every detail.

Interior Design

The main salon of Genesis makes a bright first impression. Full-height windows stretch along either side, letting in natural light and drawing attention to the yacht’s 7.1m (23ft 3in) beam. A soft white leather couch and light wood sole give the space a fresh, modern tone, complemented by satin walnut throughout and satin white oak accents. A Carrara marble feature wall brings a touch of contrast and elegance, while a custom chandelier adds personality without overwhelming the space.

Entertainment is handled by a 55-inch LED TV paired with a Sonos sound system. A day head is conveniently positioned just inside the aft door, bridging the indoor-outdoor flow.

Forward in the main deck, the dining area is arranged around a stone-topped table with retractable ends - easily seating eight in everyday use and ten for more formal occasions.

The galley is well-equipped for extended cruising or onboard chefs. A 30-inch Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer sit alongside GE appliances, including a cooktop, oven, range, and dishwasher. A full-height pantry, extensive cabinetry and a KitchenAid trash compactor round out the space.

Upstairs, the pilothouse and skylounge share the upper level with the micro bridge. Three Stidd helm chairs are arranged across the console, which includes a full electronics suite. A sliding table settee creates a comfortable nook for guests to sit up front, while entertainment continues with a 55-inch pop-up TV and wet bar fitted with four swivel stools.

Accommodation

Genesis accommodates ten guests across five staterooms, supported by six bathrooms. The layout includes an on-deck owner’s suite, four guest cabins on the lower deck, and separate quarters for up to three crew.

The owner’s stateroom is set forward on the main deck and finished in soft, neutral tones. A skylight overhead and large windows to either side enhance the natural light and sense of space. The king-sized berth is the centrepiece, flanked by a 55-inch LED TV, a chaise lounge and ample built-in storage. The en suite is full-beam and laid out with dual sinks, a spacious shower and separate toilet facilities.

Belowdecks, the layout includes a forepeak VIP with a queen-size bed, 43-inch TV, hanging locker and en suite. A second queen-size VIP is positioned amidships on the starboard side and mirrors a third guest cabin to port, which can convert between twin or double configurations. A fourth guest stateroom amidships to port also holds a queen berth. Each of these four guest cabins has its own en suite, TV and built-in storage.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (10V2000M96L) 1,600hp engines, motor yacht Genesis is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Full-height windows in Genesis’ salon draw you into the horizon with every step.
