Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement kevlar composite hull and a composite superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 2.54m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 498 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2005 with the keel laid under the project name 'Liquidity III'. She was delivered to her owners in August 2008.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Lady Elaine reflects the Christensen shipyard's commitment to crafting a functional and elegant vessel. The yacht spans 6,900 square feet, offering a commanding presence on the water. High bulwarks draw the eye along her extended profile, creating an impression of streamlined efficiency.
A CT5000 davit, integrated into the port bulwark, allows for the effortless launch of tenders and personal watercraft, as well as the efficient loading of supplies. A second tender is conveniently stored forward of the Portuguese bridge.
Moving to the upper decks, the sun deck serves as a versatile open-plan entertainment area. Guests can enjoy the granite-topped bar, relax in the hot tub trimmed with stainless-steel railings and petrified wood inlay. The windshield here provides shelter without disrupting the yacht's harmonious lines.
Interior Design
The interior of Lady Elaine is marked by a deliberate choice of materials that convey a sense of sophisticated comfort. Designers have integrated substantial quantities of granite and inlaid sapele wood throughout her four levels.
The main saloon is a study in refined taste with its inlay casino roulette motif, a stunning piece of craftsmanship utilizing mother-of-pearl, petrified wood, and black onyx. Natural light floods this principal lounge through windows with a low sill treatment, a distinctive feature of Christensen design, enhancing the space's ambience. The area is furnished with high-back, three-seat couches and an onyx-topped coffee table, complemented by a Dale Chihuly glass centerpiece.
The formal dining lounge boasts an eight-seat, glass-topped dining table, with gold leaf accents and high-back chairs, establishing a sophisticated environment well-suited for elegant dining. The space is bathed in light and offers unobstructed views, enhancing the dining experience.
The skylounge expands into an open area, versatile and conducive to social gatherings. A high-back settee surrounds a quadrant-styled glass-top coffee table, with additional seating provided by box ottomans. A round table with armchairs and a back-lit onyx bar complete the setting, which opens to an aft deck dining area with outdoor seating for twelve and a protective canopy.
The helm is a reflection of the yacht's spaciousness, featuring a trio of tan leather Stidd command chairs for optimal visibility and control. The dashboard is equipped with an array of modern navigation and communication electronics from Furuno, Northstar, Anschutz, and Raymarine. The working area remains uncluttered, with a Steelhead Telescoping CT5000 deck crane for tender operations stored flush within the port bulwark, and additional navigational aids within easy reach.
The galley is designed with functionality in mind, featuring marble countertops and matching backsplashes for ease of maintenance. Mahogany cabinets echo the yacht's overall finish quality. Equipped with commercial-grade appliances, including a double Sub-Zero refrigerator and Miele dishwasher, the galley area facilitates efficient meal preparation and service. A monitoring system located by the dining room entry allows for oversight of the vessel's systems while entertaining or during daily activities.

Performance & Capabilities
Lady Elaine is equipped with powerful twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M60) 12-cylinder 1,770hp engines that ensure efficient and reliable performance. The yacht's agility and speed are notable, with the ability to reach a top speed of 17.7 knots when fully loaded. The cruising range is equally remarkable, boasting 4,500 nautical miles at a steady 12 knots, thanks to a substantial fuel capacity of 15,000 gallons, with an additional 1,000 gallons in reserve. These figures highlight the yacht's long-range cruising capabilities, allowing for extensive voyages.
The yacht incorporates Quantum stabilizers which significantly reduce roll motion, providing a stable and comfortable experience for those onboard. The presence of an 1,800-gallon trim tank in the bulbous bow further enhances stability. The responsive rudders contribute to the yacht's excellent maneuverability, with rarely more than 20 degrees used, indicating precision steering even in challenging conditions.
Lady Elaine's mechanical features extend beyond propulsion and stabilization. The onboard CSL Monitoring system, developed by Christensen and installed by Johnson Electronics, maintains constant oversight of the yacht's vital functions. Dual 24-inch prop bow and stern thrusters by Arcturus Marine TRAC facilitate precise docking and undocking maneuvers.
The yacht is well-prepared for extended trips with essential utilities. Water needs are met by two 2,000 gallons per day watermakers from Village Marine Tec and a freshwater capacity of 3,600 gallons. Waste management is handled efficiently with a 700-gallon grey/black water capacity and a 350-gallon sewage system by Headhunter.
The yacht is equipped with advanced security and fire-control systems, including the Marioff Fire Suppression system, to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and crew. The vigilant CSL Monitoring system also plays a critical role in maintaining the safety standards onboard.
Lady Elaine is well-equipped for water sports and shore excursions with a Steelhead Telescoping CT5000 deck crane, which facilitates the launch of the tender and personal watercrafts. The tender-launching system is not only efficient but also thoughtfully integrated into the yacht's design, ensuring that aesthetic appeal is not compromised.
