Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.43m beam and a 3.55m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 1,200 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2009 with the keel laid under the project name 'Coco'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in May 2011 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2011.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Lady Kathryn V is a masterwork of maritime architecture, showcasing the innovative vision of the renowned designer Espen Øino. This luxurious vessel stands out with her elegant and sleek lines, which are the result of a complete restyling to incorporate an additional deck beneath the radar arch, tactfully avoiding a top-heavy appearance despite the added volume. The sky deck offers an elevated oasis where guests can bask in the sun or dine under the stars, surrounded by the ocean.

Espen Øino has skillfully balanced the yacht's profile, ensuring the sky deck integrates seamlessly with the rest of her structure.  The spa/sundeck serves as a central hub for relaxation and entertainment, offering guests an array of options from sunning on steamer chairs to enjoying casual alfresco meals around the versatile circular dining tables.

The yacht's outdoor spaces are thoughtfully arranged to cater to a variety of experiences. From the intimate sky deck above to the spa pool flanked by sun pads, every detail has been meticulously planned to offer the ultimate in comfort and luxury. The bridge deck aft provides a more formal setting for outdoor dining with vast panoramic views, while the main deck aft invites guests to a serene environment where they can appreciate the surroundings and indulge in the pleasure of the open sea.

Lady Kathryn V's extended bow and vast bathing platform not only contribute to her impressive length of 61 meters but also enhance her functionality and aesthetic appeal. The tender garage, ingeniously designed with hull doors on either side, is a marvel of Lurssen's engineering, housing a diverse collection of watercraft and toys that promise endless adventure and excitement for guests.

Designed to entertain, superyacht LADY KATHRYN V combines sumptuous comfort with incredible performance.

Interior Design

Lady Kathryn V's interior has an environment that blends Chippendale-style furnishings with warm wood tones, including walnut, anigre, and maple. This deliberate selection of materials and furniture creates a timeless atmosphere, inviting guests to indulge in the yacht's luxurious offerings.

Each space aboard the Lady Kathryn V is designed to serve a specific purpose, fostering intimate experiences within smaller, more segmented rooms. This approach is in stark contrast to the open-plan, modernist interiors seen in some of her predecessors. The yacht's main saloon is a cozy retreat, furnished for comfort and relaxation. Forward of this area, an alcove hosts a majestic Steinway grand piano, transforming a potential design challenge into a purposeful and elegant feature, complemented by a stately Chippendale-style sideboard.

Dining aboard Lady Kathryn V is an exclusive affair. The dedicated dining room, which can be fully enclosed, features a grand 12-seat table that can be adjusted to accommodate eight guests for a more intimate setting. Behind the scenes, the storage spaces are engineered to house the yacht's extensive dinnerware collections, ensuring that every meal is an event in itself.

The bridge deck saloon further exemplifies the yacht's commitment to multifunctional yet intimate spaces. Divided into a media room/lounge and a separate observation lounge, these areas can be unified by retractable doors and a mechanically lowering wood panel in a central cabinet that houses not just one, but two televisions, each directed towards its respective saloon. The ingenuity of the design is evident in this compact yet highly functional piece of furniture.

Ascending through the yacht, guests are greeted by the grandeur of a starboard-side atrium clad in honey onyx. The atrium is illuminated by natural light channelled from a skylight above, cascading down to the lower deck guest lobby. A wrought-iron bannister and a Georgian-style mirrored window enhance the staircase, creating a visual spectacle that is both opulent and inviting.

Accommodation

Lady Kathryn V caters to a select group of guests, with the capacity to host up to ten individuals across five opulent double cabins, ensuring a private and serene experience on the water.

The master suite is an expansive space that includes a private study for quiet contemplation or business needs, a separate sitting room bathed in natural light, and a bedroom that promises restful nights at sea. The suite is also graced with a his-and-hers bathroom, where honey onyx surfaces and golden fittings create an atmosphere of pure elegance, and large dressing rooms offer ample storage for personal belongings.

Adding to the uniqueness of the master suite is the inclusion of a balcony room — a novel feature in this series of yachts. Guests can enjoy the tranquility of the ocean with an al fresco breakfast or simply relax on steamer chairs in this private outdoor space, ingeniously designed for ease of use by the crew without intruding on the guests' privacy.

The additional guest accommodations consist of five double cabins, three furnished with king-sized beds and two with queen-sized beds. Each cabin encapsulates the epitome of comfort and style, with large portlights allowing for natural lighting and views of the surrounding seascape. The cabins are adorned with tasteful artworks and sumptuous soft furnishings, ensuring that every guest enjoys a personal haven of luxury.

Lady Kathryn V is also capable of carrying up to 15 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
