Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 23m beam and a 5.5m draft. The yacht is built over 6 decks with an internal volume of 15,850 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

Construction started in mid 2005 with the keel laid under the project name 'Sunflower'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in September 2007 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in March 2008.

Exterior Design

Crafted with the timeless elegance of a classic cruise liner, Al Said's exterior design is by the renowned naval architect Espen Oeino. The yacht's sleek lines and balanced proportions exude a sense of majesty and grandeur.

Spanning six impressive decks, Al Said's silhouette is both commanding and graceful upon the water. Her steel hull, married with an aluminum superstructure, provides a robust framework for the myriad of features and amenities housed within. The vessel's expansive decks are thoughtfully laid out to ensure privacy and comfort, offering guests a variety of open-air lounges and secluded nooks, perfect for enjoying the ocean's vistas or engaging in social festivities. A prominent feature of Al Said's exterior is the helipad, which ensures not just the convenience of travel but also underscores the yacht's ability to cater to the highest standards of luxury and accessibility.

Al Said's guests can embark on ambitious voyages with the assurance of a smooth, comfortable, and safe journey, enveloped in opulence.

Interior Design

The palatial interiors showcase exquisite Omani details, with much of the décor crafted by skilled Omani artisans.

At the heart of Al Said's interior splendor is the concert hall, a remarkable space capable of hosting a 50-strong orchestra. This extraordinary feature not only exemplifies the yacht's commitment to cultural enrichment but also provides a unique venue for entertainment that is unmatched by any other vessel afloat.

Each of the yacht's six decks is accessible via an elevator, ensuring full accessibility and seamless flow throughout the vessel. Guests can indulge in cinematic experiences in the 50-seater cinema, or unwind in the numerous lounges that dot the yacht, each designed with meticulous attention to detail and the finest materials.

In keeping with the highest standards of hospitality and care, Al Said features a medical care center and a dental care room, with rumors suggesting the presence of a fully equipped operating theatre onboard. This level of preparedness ensures that guests' well-being is catered to with the utmost professionalism and expertise.

Two of the VIP cabins feature a hot tub. A crew of up to 174 crew can be accommodated onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

At the heart of Al Said's mechanical prowess are twin diesel MTU (20V 8000 M70) engines, each producing an impressive 11,149 horsepower at a rate of 1150 revolutions per minute. This formidable powertrain enables the motor yacht Al Said to achieve a commanding top speed of 22 knots, ensuring swift passage through the seas.

Cruising performance is equally notable, with the yacht comfortably sailing at a consistent speed of 20 knots. This blend of power and grace ensures that Al Said can glide effortlessly across the ocean, making long voyages as pleasant as short jaunts along the coast.

The yacht's substantial fuel capacity is a testament to her long-range capabilities. Housing 1,420,000 liters of fuel, Al Said boasts an extensive maximum range of approximately 7,700 nautical miles when cruising at 20 knots. This extraordinary range allows her to traverse vast distances without the need for frequent refueling stops, making her an ideal vessel for those wishing to explore remote and exotic destinations.

To ensure that the experience aboard Al Said is not only exhilarating but also exceptionally smooth, the yacht has been equipped with advanced stabilizers. These play a crucial role in maintaining stability when the yacht is stationary, particularly in challenging conditions. The result is a serene environment for guests, even when anchored in rough waters. The incorporation of stabilizers underscores a commitment to comfort, allowing for uninterrupted enjoyment of the yacht's luxurious amenities.

Leisure & Entertainment

An elevator ensures full accessibility across the yacht's six decks, offering easy reach to the 50-seater cinema and numerous lounges, providing abundant opportunities for outdoor relaxation and socializing.
