Delivered in 1994, My Lady is a 164'1" motor yacht built by Dutch shipyard Hakvoort. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Donald Starkey, while Diana Yacht Design is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Elegant dining on the sun deck
  • Sundeck with spa pool and BBQ
  • Full range of alfresco facilities
  • Main deck galley with dumbwaiter

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 30'8" beam and a 10'2" draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 658 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 1991. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

My Lady features a raised-foredeck profile that maintains proportionality between the hull and superstructure. This design accommodates a full range of alfresco facilities, excluding an emphasis on a bathing stern, catering to the owner's preference for an outdoor lifestyle.

The aft bridge deck houses two boats, including a teak-decked 40-knot launch from Custom Tenders. When the boats are launched, this area transforms into a spacious entertainment deck. The aft deck serves as an extension of the main saloon, with continuity achieved through elaborate teak cabinetry and a matching table.

The sundeck is the primary outdoor living space, designed for various activities such as lounging, barbecuing, dining, sunning, and enjoying the spa pool. Key features include a circle of seating with a smoked acrylic screen at the aft rail, an eight-seater dining table under a sunshade extending from the radar arch, and gently curved forward sunbathing areas.

Interior Design

The interior design of My Lady, crafted by Donald Starkey, emphasizes an elegant blend of traditional and modern elements. The yacht features walls adorned with Italianate murals and black and gold Chinese folding screens, complemented by leather and brocade upholstery fabrics. Oval windows are shaded with sliding translucent shoji screens, contributing to the overall aesthetic.

The main saloon, designed to evoke the ambiance of a country house, uses bevelled blocks of cedarwood to complement the cantilevered staircase leading to the guest cabins and the boat deck. Loose furniture and spacious proportions provide a comfortable setting. The saloon's continuity extends to the aft deck through elaborate teak cabinetry and a matching table.

The dining room is subtly lit, featuring an Italianate mural on panels that open to reveal a tapestry. A custom-built table by Paige of London extends to seat twelve guests. The boat deck lounge, designed to feel both indoors and outdoors, features a planked deckhead and wicker furniture. Low window sills and bulwarks allow sea reflections to enhance the room's brightness.

The galley on the main deck is equipped with high-quality industrial equipment, connected to the dining room via a well-equipped servery and to the decks above with a dumbwaiter. The helm area is distinguished by superlative navigation and control equipment, ensuring precise and efficient operation.

Accommodation

My Lady offers accommodation for up to 11 guests across six guest cabins.

The owner's suite occupies the full beam forward of the main deck. It features an entry through a spacious office, furnished with a cherry wood desk, leather armchairs, and a trompe l'oeil bookcase that conceals the door to the suite itself. The suite's bathroom is notable for its use of honey marble and twin Sardanelli basins, along with a spa bath, steam shower, and a separate head compartment. A brightly-lit dressing room completes the owner's quarters.

Located on the lower deck, the four guest staterooms are centered around a cedarwood stairwell. Two aft staterooms are mirror images, each decorated with a blend of textures and equipped with tall shoji-screen blinds, writing desks, and briar cabinets. The forward staterooms offer additional flexibility; one larger cabin includes a combined entrance lobby and dressing room, while the smaller cabin features a folding sofa-bed and a smaller dressing area. These two cabins can be converted into a VIP suite by folding back a dividing screen.

Crew accommodation is located in the bow and includes five en suite cabins for twelve crew members, a large mess area, and a separate cabin for the owner's secretary on the main deck. Additionally, there is a personal staff cabin decorated to guest standards, offering accommodation for two.
