First Look: Interiors Revealed of the 61m Superyacht Asia by Royal Hakvoort's

Stemming from the drawing boards of Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, the interiors of superyacht Asia have finally been revealed.

Delivered in May 2024, superyacht Asia wasted no time setting sail on a four-month Mediterranean adventure. Shrouded in mystery since this time, Royal Hakvoort has finally released her interiors, revealing opulent features such as a wellness-focused beach club, expansive saloon, and a lavish owner's deck with panoramic views.

The Story Behind Superyacht Asia

Asia, a 61-metre (200.1ft) superyacht, took shape with a singular goal: to be a home away from home. Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, in collaboration with Diana Yacht Design for naval architecture, crafted the yacht for owners who cherish both social gatherings and intimate family moments.

Paul Costerus, Lead Designer at Sinot, summed it up perfectly, "The phrase 'home away from home' couldn’t be more fitting." From the beginning, the owners wanted to maximise their time aboard. Despite her 61-metre (200.1ft) length, the challenge was to deliver the feel of an 80-metre (262.5ft) yacht. This meant painstaking attention to detail. Every inch was optimised, and every space serves dual purposes, catering to both large parties and quiet family times.

Asia is the third superyacht of her size from Royal Hakvoort, elegantly bolted together by Sinot’s design. Meanwhile, Moran Yacht & Ship played a massive role, not just in her sale, but throughout her entire construction journey. Interestingly, Asia marked the eighth Royal Hakvoort yacht sold by Moran Yacht & Ship.

Onboard Superyacht Asia

Asia flaunts a classic bow and sculptural lines, hiding her substantial 1,268 GT interior volume. Wide gangways on both the main and owner's decks streamline her appearance. Each deck is finished with a subtle trio of white, grey, and black.

The lower deck is pure indulgence for guests. The recessed beach club, a waterside retreat, boasts neutral tones and natural materials. It's equipped with a spa, sauna, and massage parlour. Commanding seascape views enhance the lounge and juice station. Hatches on three sides bathe the space in natural light and a gentle breeze when anchored.

By day, the beach club serves as a wellness haven. By night, vivid underwater lights transform it into an intimate venue for karaoke and gatherings.

On the main deck, discover an additional VIP suite and a spacious staff stateroom. The forward suite includes a bedroom portside, private saloon starboard, and an ensuite finished in natural wood and crystal-white marble. The VIP suite rivals the owner's apartment in both size and finish.

The first thing you notice with Asia is space; stepping aboard feels akin to being on an 80-metre superyacht.

The main deck on the motor yacht boasts a massive saloon, framed by floor-to-ceiling windows offering unrivalled vistas. Dark woods and glass accents complement cream furnishings, while vibrant cushions and rugs add a splash of colour. A dining table for 12 sits perpendicular, with a cosy lounge spot aft and a generous bar on the port side. Glass sliding doors open effortlessly to the outdoor seating area.

Owners enjoy a dedicated deck with private outdoor spaces fore and aft. A large al fresco dining setting aft accommodates up to 12 guests, while the more intimate foredeck connects directly to the owners’ apartment. This area features a Jacuzzi and a seating spot, perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails.

The owners' apartment presents a suspended kingsize bed facing 270 degrees of glass, offering breathtaking views upon waking. Rich mahogany and cream furnishings grace the space, with gold leaf detailing on the ceiling. An office, beauty salon, his and her bathrooms, and a sky lounge also occupy this deck.

On the bridge deck aft, another outdoor social area includes twin elliptical settees and ample space to relax after a workout in the gym. Glass sliding doors separate the al fresco lounge from the gym, which features TechnoGym machines and free weights. Forward lies the wheelhouse.

The sun deck serves as the ultimate al fresco social zone. It spans the yacht's length with expansive open space, a grill station, and a wet bar. Retractable biminis provide shade, while the glass-walled Jacuzzi forward, nestled between sun pads and a swim-up bar, steals the show.

Forward on the lower deck is where the crew finds their space. With eight cabins, a mess area, and relaxation zones, the 18 crew members have everything they need. Dedicated staircases ensure smooth passage between quarters, while guests enjoy a grand atrium with a cascading glass feature and an elevator.

Asia features a hybrid propulsion system with shaft generators and a battery for peak shaving, marking her as one of the most efficient Hakvoorts yet.

She boasts a range of 4,800 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots and can exceed 15 knots. An advanced heat recovery system—now standard on future Royal Hakvoort superyachts—highlights her modern design.
