Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.28m beam and a 3.85m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,518 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2016 with the keel laid under the project name 'Project Waka' as a speculative build by Amels. This was the fourth yacht built on the Amels 220 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in March 2019 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2019.
Exterior Design
One of the defining characteristics of Neninka is her elegant design, characterized by elongated decks and large windows that invite an abundance of natural light into the yacht's interior. This design not only enhances the yacht's aesthetic appeal but also creates a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces, providing passengers with stunning, panoramic views of the seascape.
Neninka's exterior design is distinguished by her distinctive beach club. This feature, coupled with the yacht's slightly modified exterior design, sets her apart from other models in the Amels range. The transom has been opened up to create a greater feeling of space, complemented by the passerelle being pushed outboard. This has given rise to a smooth, curved transom that is not only visually appealing but also child-friendly.
The exterior spaces of Neninka are just as impressive, with plentiful relaxation areas on every deck. The removal of the helideck has allowed for even more relaxation space on the sundeck while the foredeck features its own lounge area.
Interior Design
The interior design of Neninka, expertly executed by German outfitter Metrica and conceptualized by Winch Design, exudes a calm, harmonious, and refined Scandinavian-influenced aesthetic, enlivened with touches of glamour and intricate detailing. The theme and vision for the interior design are reflected in the use of light colors, sycamore paneled walls, and hand-scraped oak floors, creating a relaxed and serene atmosphere throughout the yacht.
The main saloon, marked by warm-toned oak floors and pale sycamore timber walls, is a perfect representation of the aesthetic vision for Neninka. Hand-tufted silk carpet by Tai Ping defines the sitting area, mirrored above by a circular lighting fixture, and the 14-guest round dining table, centered with petrified wood. A pair of stunning curved, starburst straw-marquetry panels sit opposite each other, visually separating the dining area from the saloon.
The beach club and bar feature a giallo silvia oro stone top and a panel of subtle sycamore diamond marquetry below. The additional space allowed for the inclusion of a steam room, decorated with a handmade Italian pietra dura mosaic artwork and a fiber-optic starlight ceiling, and an ice fountain spa and shower.
In terms of functionality, the yacht is equipped with a full-service garage with ample room for toys, a glass lift running from the lower deck to the top, and a spacious engine room home to a pair of Caterpillar 3516C engines. The design ensures that the yacht offers unrivaled stability, low noise and vibrations, and a truly immersive yachting experience at the highest level.
Accommodation
Neninka has been thoughtfully crafted to accommodate up to 14 guests across a diverse array of cabins. The yacht's accommodation is exceptionally spacious, with each guest cabin offering a distinct theme reflected in the choice of fabrics, carpets, artwork, and accessories. The themes of earth, air, fire, and water subtly permeate the four lower deck cabins, infusing each space with its unique ambiance. These cabins, comprising three doubles and a twin, are replete with features such as silk carpets, ample storage space, and marble vanity units, providing guests with a luxurious space to unwind after a day on the water.
The owner's full-beam suite is located forward on the main deck, and features a central bed and two bespoke bleached-oak loungers beneath large, full-height windows that invite in ample natural light. A spectacular five-meter-long landscape artwork of gold leaf separates the sleeping area from the en suite bathroom, which boasts an enclosed head and shower and a centrally located oval bath carved from a single block of crema liria stone. This exquisite suite also includes an intricate marquetry artwork depicting a celestial scene, adding to the suite's ambiance of refined tranquility.
In addition to the lower deck cabins and the owner's suite, Neninka also offers two VIP suites on the bridge deck. These spacious accommodations are themed around the concept of the North and South Poles, with subtly different color schemes, fabrics, and artwork. When combined with the nearby upper saloon, these suites offer a penthouse feeling, providing guests with an elevated experience of luxury.
The crew of Neninka is also well-accommodated, with ample space for up to 16 staff to ensure the smooth running of the yacht and the comfort of the guests.
Performance & Capabilities
Neninka is powered by twin Caterpillar 3516C engines. These robust engines ensure that Neninka is always ready to set sail, providing a cruising speed of approximately 13 knots and a top speed of 17 knots. The efficiency of the engines is optimized at a 90% load, providing a reliable propulsion system that ensures Neninka's smooth sail across the seas.
The yacht's range is equally impressive, with her 157,600 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,950 nautical miles at an economic speed of 12 knots allowing for long-haul voyages without the need for frequent fuel stops. This makes Neninka perfect for those who wish to embark on extended cruises, exploring the world's most beautiful and remote locations without compromise.
Neninka also boasts an advanced stabilizer system. This feature ensures the comfort of everyone on board, minimizing the movement of the yacht in rough sea conditions. The result is a smooth and enjoyable journey, irrespective of the weather.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Rest and relaxation can be achieved on board, thanks to a luxury spa and steam room. Ensuring everyone on board can enjoy the water to the fullest, luxury yacht Neninka offers a large beach club connected to a swim platform, with plenty of space for lounging and soaking up the sea views. The yacht features a tender garage with storage for a range of toys and accessories. An elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible, while air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
