The 80-meter superyacht departed from Damen’s Galati facility in Romania before making her way to the East Shipyard in Vlissingen. She joins her sisterships, the first and second hulls in the series, which are also in various stages of construction and outfitting.
Introduced by Amels in March 2022 as the largest offering in the Limited Editions range, the Amels 80 series showcases exterior design by renowned designer Espen Øino. Notable for his previous collaborations with the Dutch shipyard, including the Amels 60 series and the custom-build Energy, Øino has brought his signature style to this new flagship series.
The Amels 80 boasts a gross tonnage of 2,175 GT and features a range of standout amenities, including a 200-square-meter sundeck, a dedicated owner’s deck, a 6.5-meter swimming pool, and a foredeck helipad. The yacht’s luxurious beach club serves as a waterfront lounge with opening sea terraces that create a semi-enclosed space. This area provides access to a spa, sauna, gym, Hammam, and massage room. A circular social zone, complete with a sit-up bar, can also be converted into a cinema for added versatility.
While the interior design team remains unnamed, it is described as a "well-known" firm, suggesting an exceptional level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The Amels 80 can accommodate up to 14 guests in seven opulent staterooms, ensuring ample space and privacy for all aboard.
The Amels 80 series has seen remarkable progress since its market introduction. The first hull Amels 8001 was sold just six months after its announcement in March 2022, with delivery anticipated in 2025. The second hull Amels 8002 is set for delivery in 2026, alongside the third unit, Project Zurich. Damen Yachting describes the third yacht as incorporating "a number of spectacular unique features" that distinguish her from her sisterships.
The next available hull for sale is the Amels 8005, which could be ready for delivery to her new owner in 2027
