Delivered in 2018, Universe is a 74m motor yacht built by Dutch shipyard Amels. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by Tim Heywood Design, while Winch Design has designed her interiors.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.46m beam and a 3.86m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 1,790 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2015. This was the third yacht built on the Amels 242 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in May 2018 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2018.

Accommodation

Universe offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 VIP cabins and 3 double cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 19 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516C) 2,719hp engines, motor yacht Universe is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 165,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Designed by Tim Heywood, motor yacht Hull YN24203 [Universe] boasts head-turning profile with sleek lines, elegant silhouette and warm-coloured hull. Her interiors were designed by Winch Design.

Certainly the master suite promises to be impressive, since it’s part of an overall owner’s deck. That deck spans 2,580 square feet (240 square meters), typically including a forward-facing bedroom, to take advantage of the views.
