Italian manufacturer Admiral has launched the new 48m (157’) custom superyacht CROCUS at its shipyard in north-west Italy.
The brand-new yacht has a design inspired by Admiral’s preceding ATOS hull, which emphasised providing lots of space for guests and keeping the volume low, below 500 gross tonnes.
As a result, motor yacht CROCUS is only 485GT overall, despite her 48m length and 9m (29’) beam, allowing her to accommodate an impressive twelve guests in five cabins.
She has an Owner’s cabin on her main deck, forward of the main salon and a roomy dining area with a galley. The other four are below deck. Also impressive is the 100 sq. m (1,076 sq. ft) sun deck.
Despite her imposing size, the Owner of motor yacht CROCUS wanted her exterior – penned in-house by Admiral – to be “discreet and minimalist” compared to other yachts for sale. Her hull has been painted a subtle blue to fulfil this, while, inside, there is a “relaxed mood”, home-like with understated grey and white colours. Materials used include Alcantara marble and ebony wood.

Aft, the superyacht has a large beach club that’s directly in contact with the waterline. The bow has an outdoor garage that can store tenders up to 7m (23’) in length.
CROCUS features two diesel engines. They give her a top speed of 17.5 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots. Her maximum range is 3,500 nautical miles.
