Australia's Sanctuary Cove expands capacity for superyachts

Working from the same timescale as allowing foreign flagged charter yachts in to the area, the authorities at Sanctuary Cove have announced big development plans.

The subsequent increase in interest has convinced the owners that maximising berths will help promote Sanctuary Cove as a must see superyacht destination.

Scheduled for a May 2020 completion, the expansion for the Sanctuary Cove will see an additional capacity of 66 vessels, increasing the current occupancy from 237 to 303 berths.

Some of the included berths to be conctructed include some covered lots which will aid protection for anchored vessels while not in use. Even while in the marina, owners can get 'room service' to their private vessels as well as have laundry catered to.

As expansion takes place, the committee of the Sanctuary Cove development also plan to offer an Admiral Club Membership which will include golf cart transfers and concierge services to the Intercontinental Hotel.

We are confident local, interstate, and international boat owners will see the benefits of leasing a berth at Sanctuary Cove and enjoying a sojourn on the Gold Coast as part of their itinerary.

Mulpha

The parent company of the Sanctuary Cove Marina, Mulpha, have spoken publicly about their positive outlook of the new expansion. It runs alongside vast investment in to the adjacent Coomera Marine Precinct which is also seeing a great number of changes in the form of a refit. Combining the local efforts together is a path to sucess for the local community as they transform the area into a busy hub of superyacht lifestyle.

As the host marina for the popular annual Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, the new development will see an impressive boost in business ready for the next main event. Local amenities to the marina include a range of bars and premium quality restaurants as well as top end boutiques. All of which are making adequate updates to account for the extra superyachts visiting the area.
