Azimut’s latest addition to its impressive fleet of yachts for sale was officially launched on Friday when the sharp lines of its Azimut 53 were unveiled in an exclusive screening.
A fun and informative video introduced this spacious 16.1m (53ft) flybridge yacht designed for fast cruising and family use, with time spent onboard a major factor in its creation.
The Azimut design team was responsible for the spacious, easy-living three-cabin interior, with Alberto Mancini delivering the exterior look.
The feeling of space in the salon is achieved by a near one-level floor level and huge sections of glass that run from the entrance to the windscreen. The galley-aft layout helps open the interior up to the deck, with deep facing sofas creating a great interior lounge.
The capacious feeling is carried on below decks, with the Owner's suite enjoying near-total full-standing-headroom and an unparalleled amount of storage space.
The focus for the exterior areas is convenience and comfort. There is an easily accessible swim platform, whilst the foredeck and flybridge have sunpad cushions which, according to the shipyard themselves, are very hard to resist. The rear section of the flybridge also features a versatile dinette, with a table that can be easily stored away to create a second lounge area.
The Azimut 53 certainly has a decent amount of speed with two Volvo Penta IPS 950s maxing out at 31 knots and a cruising speed of 27 knots.
The Azimut 53 is part of the yard’s progressive flybridge collection. A range of yachts that has drawn much acclaim for its class-leading use of space and pioneering use of glass.
Its smaller sister is the Azimut 50. The 16.1m (50ft), like the Azimut 53, has three cabins, a full-beam master suite and panoramic windows. Moving up a size is the 16.9m (55ft) Azimut 55 which has drawn much praise for its abundance of space and beautifully furnished interiors.
The Azimut 53 is also the first yacht to make its digital debut on Azimut’s A-Room, a virtual showroom dedicated to giving visitors an exclusive and totally interactive preview of its new models.
