The vessel was designed completely from scratch to fulfill the American owner’s vision for a fully customized new superyacht. She is the first launch for the yard since the coronavirus lockdown in their native Italy.
The Baglietto 10232 represents a move into a new realm for the yard. It employs a semi-displacement aluminium hull form with a plumb, vertical, bow shape - the first time Baglietto has built a yacht with this type of exterior design.
Her raised pilothouse design adds a sporty flair and twin Caterpillar C32 Acert D engines will see her reach a top speed of 18 knots. Innovative sound insulation keeps noise to a minimum with the Italian yard claiming that, even at top speeds, sound levels should be about 40 dBA.
The interior design of the Baglietto 10232 is the work of Achille Salvagni - his first collaboration with the yard. Meanwhile, the sporty exterior design by Horacio Bozzo perfectly complements the elegant interiors.
This is the start of a busy period for the Italian builder. Another three superyachts are being built at Baglietto’s La Spezia headquarters ranging in size from 38m to 54m.
Baglietto was founded in 1854. They have a heritage of building many tailor made vessels like the Baglietto 10232, allowing the owner to create their dream yacht completely from scratch. Find out how you can create your own custom built superyacht.
