Cranchi has officially revealed its latest model, the A46 Luxury Tender, which is dominated by a large aft sundeck and ease of on-deck movement and takes its place as its flagship tender model.
Adriano Foghini, Sales Manager for Cranchi Yachts, presented the digital unveiling of the 14.25m (46ft) yacht from the ‘Italo Monzino’, Cranchi’s Marine Test Center. A number of the key figures involved in the design and build process also explained their roles in the development of the yacht.
Described by Chief Designer, Christian Grande, as “a real open yacht, because it’s a walk around”, the entire perimeter of the A46 can be walked around without encountering any obstacles. Grande went on to explain how his design put an emphasis on horizontal lines, as he explained how “the belt traces a very taut line and without being interrupted by any other element or vertical sign”.
Natalie Lucini, Cranchi Yachts Technical Director, expanded on the idea behind the layout, saying the focus was on the seaworthiness of the yacht, concentrating weight in the center and creating a “longitudinal layout of sundeck, seating areas, dining area, mobile bar and cockpit”.
One of the key areas highlighted was the large aft located sundeck. Side opening bulwarks extend the surface by over 5m (16.4ft) and create a large terrace area within touching distance of the sea. Further forward a wraparound windscreen and carbon fiber T-Top shelter the driving position, with the hardtop able to extend back to the rest of the cockpit if necessary.
At the bow there is a second sundeck with additional seating, whilst beneath the stern sundeck is a garage that can accommodate a tender of up to 2m (6.5ft).
Cranchi Designer, Alessandro Pozzi, gave viewers a closer look at the spaces below deck, showcasing a number of convertible solutions, including a dinette that can be transformed into a sleeping area to add to the aft full-beam cabin.
Described by Christian Grande as “a toy for a special owner”, the A46 is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS D6 engines and features fully customizable hull colors and decor elements.
