CRN has confirmed work on its 142 Yacht is well underway with the hull now positioned and structural work and pre-fitting in progress at its Ancona yard.
In new photos released by the yard, the 52m (170.6ft) yacht’s harmonious and semmingly classically-toned lines can be seen emerging.
Over the coming weeks, interior carpentry will commence, engines will be installed and the painting of the exterior will begin.
The all-aluminium superyacht represents the third collaboration between CRN and Dutch designer Omega Architects who are responsible for her ‘majestic’ external areas. Massari Design has developed the interiors which CRN describes as ‘palatial’.
Whilst many of the details haven’t, as yet, been revealed CRN 142 will feature large, full-height windows and a four-deck layout with an owner’s suite and four VIP cabins able to accommodate up to 10 guests.
CRN revealed a strong emphasis has also been placed on fuel efficiency and weight reduction. The hull and appendages have been optimized to reduce drag, and special lightweight materials, along with the aluminum hull and superstructure are being used in construction.
CRN is currently building another three bespoke yachts: the 62m (203.4ft) CRN M/Y 138, the 72m (236.2ft) CRN M/Y 139, and the 60m (196.8ft) CRN M/Y 141.
Italian-based CRN has a reputation for building large, fully custom yachts. In fact our YachtBuyer intelligence reveals the 30 yachts it has delivered in the past 15 years have an average length of 54.3m (178.1ft). Its largest build ever is the multi-award winning ‘Chopi Chopi’ which was delivered in 2013 and measured 80m (262.5ft).
