Italian shipyard Alpha Custom Yachts has launched the first unit in its 30m (98ft) Squalo 100 series.
The construction of the new yacht began in 2022, and by May 2023, the inaugural Squalo 100 was sold to a buyer, with delivery scheduled for summer 2024.
The semi-custom Squalo 100 series, named after the Italian word for shark, features a muscular exterior by Roberto Curtó, including a vertical bow and high pilothouse.
I’ve never dedicated so much time, energy, and effort, ever, and I’m so proud to be able to keep on pushing the boundaries to give our industry a yacht that will by far exceed the lifestyle of a 30-meter yacht."

The Italian design studio also crafts the interiors, while the naval architecture is attributed to Massimo Verme. With a wide beam of 7.9m (25.9ft) and a draft of 1.8m (5.9ft), the model offers enhanced onboard comfort through floating floors, ceilings, and walls supporting the lower and main decks.
The aft deck is a key focal point, featuring a plunge pool above a toy garage, an open deck area with seating, and shaded dining. An alternative lounge area on the deck above connects the pilothouse to an open space providing over 990 square meters of living space. The series offers at least three different flybridge and main deck configurations, accommodating between eight and ten guests.
A master cabin is located on the main deck, with two cabin configurations available on the lower deck, either including a secondary master cabin, a VIP guest cabin, and a twin guest cabin for eight guests, or two queen guest cabins and two twin staterooms for ten guests.
Alpha Custom Yachts reportedly has six units under construction, with the third unit in the Squalo 100 series having recently moved to outfitting ahead of its scheduled delivery date this year.
