First Look Inside the Dutch Inspired Moonen 122 Martinique by Vripack

Moonen Yachts has unveiled the interior of its latest 37m superyacht Martinique 08, marking the first time Dutch design studio Vripack has worked on the interior of this established series.

Revealed at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show, the yacht—hull number eight in the Moonen 122 Martinique line—represents the fourth collaboration between Moonen and Vripack.

The superyacht, also known as YN206, is scheduled for delivery in September 2025. She features exterior styling by René van der Velden and naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design.

Interior Materials and Finishes

Vripack based the interior on three primary materials—wood, leather and brass—paired with a warm, mid-century palette of light taupe, grey and smoky blue. The furniture includes deep walnut tones and polished brass details. In the main saloon, a bronze mirrored ceiling references 17th-century Dutch interiors, reflecting light and creating a heightened sense of space.

The dining room mural draws on the colour and style of Delftware porcelain, using hand-sketched and AI-enhanced imagery to depict imagined Dutch landscapes. Its torn edge introduces an intentionally quirky finish that sets the tone for the interior as a whole.

Circulation and Social Spaces

The central staircase o the yacht, set against glossy turquoise walls, links all three decks. A second mirrored ceiling and bronze accents continue the design language into the main deck lobby.

The sky lounge serves as the yacht’s social hub. A bioethanol fireplace with a cream marble surround sits beneath a framed TV used for displaying artworks. Inset cabinets flank the space, which opens fully to the aft deck through bi-fold doors. Personal items and curated books can be displayed here, lending a residential feel.

Outdoor features include a broad sundeck with a covered dining area, bar, optional whirlpool and a Portuguese bridge-style seating arrangement forward of the wheelhouse.

The aft platform has also been extended to 20 square metres and includes hydraulic Z-lift swim stairs for easy water access.

Smart and Sophisticated Accommodation

With a gross tonnage of 345GT, the yacht accommodates up to 12 guests across five cabins, supported by a crew of seven. The full-beam owner's suite, located on the main deck, spans 37 square metres and features forward-facing windows that provide 180-degree sea views. Vripack adjusted the general arrangement to position the king-sized bed aft-facing, enhancing the connection to the sea. The ensuite bathroom on the motor yacht features White Emperador marble, bleached oak floors and a Belvedere quartzite basin.

Two VIP staterooms and two additional guest cabins on the lower deck follow the same understated aesthetic. Beds are wrapped in soft taupe leather, with integrated desk-vanity units in the VIPs.

Built with a fast-displacement steel hull, the model is designed for long-range cruising and powered by twin Caterpillar engines, delivering a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising range of up to 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots

Martinique 08 is on the market with IYC and is currently asking €25,500,000.

Vripack’s co-creative director, Marnix Hoekstra, described the process as a co-creation rather than a collaboration. “Flipping the bed may seem small, but it reshaped how the suite feels,” he said. “The owner wakes to sea views, not a bulkhead. That kind of change affects the entire atmosphere.”

Matthew and Louise Baxter, owners of Moonen Yachts, echoed the sentiment. “Vripack brought a new level of vision to this project. Their team worked closely with our in-house carpenters and engineers to ensure every design detail translated perfectly into the final build.”
