Fjord has unveiled the first details of its new flagship model, the 16.7m (53ft) 53 XL.
The angular sports boat features the largest deck area and biggest T-top ever designed by the Scandinavian yard, generous hull windows and plenty of customization options.
Other highlights include a futuristic helm station with triple pilot seats, a large sunpad in the stern with side access to a spacious cockpit, a master cabin with a large lobby space, an expansive bathing platform and space to stow a tender under the sunpad.
The interior layout can be personalized to include a crew cabin in place of a storage room and there are four options to choose from when it comes to the interior styling: Classic, Polar, Elegance and Sport, each offering a very different feel.
In terms of performance twin Volvo Penta IPS700 engines give a top speed of 32 knots, with the option to upgrade to twin IPS800 engines to boost the top speed up to 34 knots.
Fjord was founded in 1960 and became part of the German Hanse Group in 2005. The 53 XL will become the seven model in production for the yard, which starts with the 11.5m (38ft) 38 Open, in fact its range of open cockpit yachts which also includes the 12m (40ft) 40 Open and the 13.45m (44ft) 44 Open have become popular as superyacht tenders.
