Columbus Yachts has sold the inaugural Columbus Crossover 47, set for delivery in 2027 to a European client. This 47m superyacht, blending modern aesthetics with practical design, will feature a steel construction with aluminum superstructures, a beam of 8.6m (28.2ft), and a maximum draft of 3m (9.8ft).
Hydro Tec studio designed the exterior lines and partnered with the shipyard for naval engineering. Hot Lab crafted the interiors. The new superyacht utilizes a proven naval platform, with another 42m (137.8ft) model currently under construction.
The Crossover 47 stands out for her adaptability. Her stern, capable of holding a yacht tender up to 3000kg, can transform into a relaxation area with a jacuzzi, sunbeds, and direct sea access via folding gunwales. Her large sun deck, protected by a hard top, enhances onboard comfort. The exterior displays modern, muscular shapes with taut surfaces and concentrated volumes at the bow, typical of explorer yachts.
Flexibility extends to the cockpit, which can house a large tender with a crane or a swimming pool with social areas. The main deck offers a spacious lounge and dining area for up to 12 guests. The layout includes four cabins below deck (two double and two twin with pullman beds) and a full-beam master cabin on the main deck, complete with a central bed, wardrobe, vanity desk, office, and double bathroom with central shower.
The upper deck of the motor yacht features a six-seater round outdoor table, expandable to 10, a lounge/entertainment area, and the helm station at the bow. The sun deck includes ample sunbathing space, a large bar, and a second swimming pool.
The new yacht accommodates a nine-person crew in four double cabins below deck, with the captain's cabin located on the upper deck near the helm. Two Caterpillar C32 engines, each producing 970kW, power her to over 15 knots, with a cruising speed of 12 knots. Her range exceeds 5,000nm at an economical 10 knots.
