Stepping up from the 77 metre predecessor, Silver Fast, the brand new 85 metre explorer yacht Bold has become the benchmark for the largest yacht built in Australia. Previously known as project Silver Loft, she boasts a top speed of 24 knots and has an impressive range of 5,000 nautical miles while cruising at 18 knots.
Now set to begin her sea trials outside Perth in Western Australia, Bold boasts an increasingly popular straight bow which provides a long waterline and subsequent spacious interiors. The optimised hull and low draft allow her to access shallow areas of water for cruising, something quite unusual to motor yachts of her size. The ability to reach shallow waters allows owners to get much closer to new destinations than other large yachts on the market.
In addition to a low draft for easy access to shallow waters, Bold also boasts a fully certified helipad on the aft deck, as well as a versatile watercraft storage area which can be used for tenders or watertoys.
The spacious exteriors of Bold were designed in collaboration with long term partner Espen Oeino. Previously working on the Silver Series of high speed motor yachts, Oeino has brought the same high level of expertise to Bold in order to create a haven for guests staying onboard.
In addition to the very large aft main deck hosting the helipad, a roomy sundeck provides guests with an ideal location to relax and make the most of the stunning scenery around them. Also featuring a 300 square metre sky lounge with full length windows, the sundeck features an al fresco dining option plus sunbeds and a rotisserie barbecue.
Further exterior living indulgences can be found on the upper deck in the form of plush exterior seating, more sunbeds and a premium Jacuzzi.
In addition to the eye catching exterior design, the interiors have been created by the German based designer Andreas Hölnburger of Vain Interiors. The overall concept is contemporary but sophisticated with plenty of space for socialising during long voyages. Uncluttered and clean, the interiors feature panelling of teak and oak as well as some contrasting paintwork in metallics.
Overnight accommodation is just as spacious and minimalist with a total of eight cabins for guests. Comprising of a master suite, three VIP cabins on the upper deck of the vessel plus a further four cabins on the lower deck, a total of up to 16 guests can be accommodated at any one time.
Crew accommodation for up to 21 personnel can also be found on the lower deck in a collection of nine crew and four staff cabins.
