Since launching in late 2016, Turkish shipyard Sirena Yachts has experienced consistent growth in sales volumes and model sizes, prompting the expansion of its yacht production facilities in Turkey.
The 150,000 square meter expansion at the Yalova facility will also see the builder's workforce increasing to 1,200 people, a significant milestone in the shipyard's relatively short but colorful history.
The Yalova facility, which also houses the production of the brand's smaller yachts, is made up of 155,000 square meters of space and is located just 25 minutes from the sea. The Tuzla shipyard is also exclusively dedicated to the construction of the 88ft flagship vessel.
Yalova is an area renowned for its commercial shipbuilding, so it is appropriate that we should be building the new 42 Steel there. Hot steel work, such as cutting, bending, and welding will all be done by sub-contractors on site. We will also do the outfitting and interior fit-out here. The chief advantage is that we can launch our growing range of big yachts directly from the production halls, with no need for transportation to the water's edge."

This expansion reflects a period of substantial growth for Sirena Yachts, put down to clever design work, effective cost management, and a good understanding of the mid-size yachting market's requirements. A large part of the growth has been attributed to the US market, following the introduction of the Sirena 64 in 2017.
Through collaborations with designers such as Cor D. Rover and Hot Lab, Sirena Yachts aims to optimize aesthetics and functionality in its vessels, with an overarching strategy that revolves around maximizing space, usability, and benefits for every client.
