Sirena 48 to make US debut at Palm Beach International Boat Show

Preparations are underway for the US debut of the Sirena 48 at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, scheduled for March 21-24 in Florida.

This new entry-level model from Sirena Yachts in Turkey has already garnered much attention, with 27 hulls sold, including 13 heading to owners in the United States.

The Sirena 48 joins the builder's lineup, which includes the Sirena 58, 58 Coupe, and 68, 78, and 88 models. Designed to appeal to owner-operators, the semi-displacement hull offers efficiency in displacement mode while allowing for fast planing performance, thanks to naval architecture by Germán Frers.

Key features include a swim platform capable of carrying a tender or personal watercraft, and owners can choose between open layouts or those with a more traditional aft deck. The crew cabin is optional, with the possibility of extra stowage in its place.

The owners' stateroom on the 48-footer rivals that of a 60-footer, and the flybridge boasts an extended alfresco dining area and multiple sun pads. Accommodations inside comprise three guest staterooms and an optional crew cabin.

“Similar to the Sirena 58, the new Sirena 48 has the qualities to become another bestseller for Sirena in the USA and the Americas as a whole. The anticipation and excitement for her arrival is very high already.”

For a sportier exterior, the coupe version offers a hardtop that brings natural light into the salon below. This option reduces the yacht's weight and windage, improving performance, especially for those opting for electric propulsion. Solar panels integrated into the hardtop roof extend the operating range under electric power alone.

Performance-wise, the Sirena 48 can achieve top speeds of 27 knots, with a cruising speed of 17 to 20 knots and an economical cruising speed of 10 knots. Alternatively, the hybrid version is powered by twin 213kW (285hp) electric motors, capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots. In silent electric mode, the yacht can cover up to 30nm before activating the variable-speed generators.

As an all-weather yacht offering an unprecedented level of choice and flexibility for a boat in her size range, we anticipate that she will be very well received across both the Mediterranean and US markets. The fact that we’ve already sold more than 27 of these units to date speaks for itself.”
