Spectre wins prestigious Best of the Best Award at Asia Boating Awards

Italian shipyard Benetti finished 2019 on a high as custom built Spectre wins the prestigious Best of the Best award at the Asia Boating Awards.

Championing in the yachts over 100 feet category, the 69 metre superyacht was presented with the award during a lavish gala ceremony on the 27th December.

Building on the previous success of Spectre throughout the duration of 2019, the new Best of the Best award joins other associated award wins including the Best Yacht award at the World Superyacht Awards held in London, and also the Robb Report USA Best of the Best. The previous Best of the Best awards in 2019 also commended Spectre, as she won the Best Custom Built Yacht award.

Many factors were considered in the decision making for the end result, but it was the sporty performance, Total Ride Control® system from Naiad Dynamics1 and the eceptional hull design from Mulder Design which won the edge over other nominees.

Powered by N° 2 MTU 2.580 kW engines, eye catching exteriors for Spectre have been penned by long term Benetti collaborator Giorgio M. Cassetta, with the stylish interiors by the in house Benetti Interior Style Department.

The innovative High Speed Cruising Hull from Mulder Design enables Spectre to move at 30% faster than other yachts with a traditional displacement hull, as top speeds can reach 21.2 knots. A cruising speed of 12 knots provides a range of 6,500 nautical miles.

Key features onboard Spectre begin with spacious exteriors which encompass a swimming pool and a pair of terraces, in addition to multiple relaxation areas across the decks and al fresco dining.

Interior features include an indulgent full-beam spa and wellness area on the lower deck, featuring a gym, hammam and massage room.

Other notable points of interest see dual aspect controls from the Bridge Deck wheelhouse and main deck cockpit, four custom built wine cellars and a cylindrical elevator connecting the decks.

The stylish 1930s Art Deco influenced interiors are spacious and abundantly lit by natural light filtering through the extensive glazing that allows for iconic panoramic views. The elegance of the design is replicated on each deck with steel and glass accents throughout.

Overnight accommodation can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in a layout of six cabins. The owner's suite is situated on the upper deck with a separate office room in addition to the main cabin. Dual bathrooms and two wardrobes accompany the suite alongside the two side terraces for private access to the bow area.

The main deck guest areas are accompanied by three cabins including two guest cabins with private bathroom facilities, plus a large VIP with dual bathrooms acting as an alternative owner's suite. Completing the accommodation ensemble, an additional two cabins are located on the lower deck.
