Dubbed as one of the best shows in its 51 editions, the 2019 Southampton International Boat Show (SIBS) had a record number of debuts to showcase just why it is one of the UKs biggest boating events.
With recorded footfall reaching a new high of plus 5% on last year's figures, there was plenty of interest throughout the show for the 600+ nautical brands and over 200 product launches.
New features such as the Quarterdeck and the Foredeck Stage made a well received inaugural appearance, as well as returning features which also came together to create an all round electric atmosphere for all ages.
In addition to the product launches among the exhibitors, some of the big names in British boat building had some highly anticipated launches to present to the crowds. Princess, Sunseeker and Pearl Yachts all stood out with their relative launches and didn't fail to impress.
Pearl 80
The inaugural appearance of Pearl Yachts at SIBS certainly raised the profile of this year's event, expecially with the display of the popular Pearl 80 model. Although already established in the general market, the appearance of the 24 metre vessel was in fact a UK debut.
Featuring design collaborations from Bill Dixon and Kelly Hoppen, the prestige level of luxury throughout the vessel makes it evident why this particular model has proven such a popular asset of the British fleet.
Boasting a four-cabin layout, the overnight accommodation is spacious and well lit thanks to well appointed portholes around the hull.

Powered by two MAN V12-1800 with V-drives, the Pearl 80 has a maximum speed of 35 knots.
Sunseeker Predator 60 EVO
Marking the start of a new development plan from British shipyard Sunseeker, the predator 60 EVO is the first craft in a long line of upcoming launches to double the fleet.
Differentiating from previous models in the Sunseeker line up, a new selection of furnishings and materials have been used, creating a new appeal which still maintains the high quality finish expected from such a prestigious shipyard.
Reaching up to 34 knots, the 18.24m vessel has a practical lower deck galley surrounded by the composition of a three cabin layout. Adjoined by a comfortable dinette seating area, the full beam master, VIP forward and bunked cabin all indulge in this private area, with the crew cabin separate aft.
Princess V55
Powered by twin Volvo D13 1000 engines, with an advertised top speed of 37 knots, the new V55 from Princess has a striking appearance which boasts appeal to owners who enjoy open boating.
An extensive cockpit with multiple lounging options plus an integrated wetbar and barbeque, is seamlessly connected to a main deck galley via a drop down sliding door. The practical layout allows internal and exterior areas to merge, giving owners an open plan layout for socialising and entertaining guests.
Down on the lower deck there's a three-cabin layout starting off with a full beam master amidships. A generous cabin in the bow features scissor berths, with a third additional cabin having bunk berths.
