Sunseeker announces product development program

British shipyard Sunseeker has announced a ledge to invest a further £40 million into expanding its fleet with 12 new models.

Building on the financial success reportedly experienced by the yard, Sunseeker aims to keep the momentum going and deliver all 12 new models by 2025.

Making the announcement during the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival, the shipyard claimed to have an order book currently worth over £600m, which quantifies around two years' worth of turnover.

Having already nearly doubled its fleet during the last product development phase from 11 to 20 models, the globally renowned yard will now substantially expand once again to a total of 32 models in its portfolio of Sunseeker yachts for sale.

Work is also being completed on the production sites themselves, with the Willis Way facility becoming a dedicated hub to the Superhawk 55.

During a press conference at Cannes, Sunseeker unveiled the first two models to be joining the British fleet out of the new program, namely the Ocean 182 and the Ocean 156, the model names reflecting a new focus on Gross Tonnage rather than length.

Joining the Sunseeker 90 Ocean, the new models look to be innovative in design and concept, with the larger Ocean 182 scheduled to hit the water in 2023.
