Thailand yacht show postponed due to new travel restrictions

The Thailand Yacht Show joins the list of yachting events affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic as organizer's postpone the popular Asian event.

Resulting from new inter-provincial travel restrictions laid down by the government, visitors from destinations like Bangkok, among many others, are to quarantine for 14 days on arrival to Phuket.

Scheduled to start from 12 February, the travel restrictions directly reflect on the original dates for the Thailand Yacht Show, which were initially published as the 11-14 February 2021.

As proposed new dates look at the summer months of June or July and even November, show organizers Verventia are keen to adhere to the new measures in place for the containment of COVID-19.

Despite the hardships this will cause for our suppliers, exhibitors, and ourselves, we are in full agreement with the government’s anti-Covid safety measures.

With Thailand being one of the most successful countries in their methods of containing and controlling the virus, the decision, albeit a difficult one, has been widely accepted.

Although the event will no longer coincide with Chinese New Year, the Thailand Yacht Show still maintains its stature as one of the key Asian yachting events for 2021.

If you are thinking about attending the show in 2021, you can start planning your journey now by viewing all of the available new and used yachts for sale.
