Record-Breaking Monaco Yacht Show 2024: Superyachts Worth Billions On Display

Exploring the $2 billion fleet at the Monaco Yacht Show, the average yacht price tops $30 million.

The 2024 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is off to a record-breaking start, with the event hosting three superyachts over 100m. Among them is Lürssen's GOLDEN ODYSSEY, the largest yacht ever showcased at the show. Measuring 123.2m, this massive yacht is now available for sale, setting a new standard for size and luxury at MYS.

The impressive superyacht GOLDEN ODYSSEY was a last-minute addition to the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) lineup, arriving just in time to claim the largest berth on Quai Rainier III, originally reserved for Oceanco yacht H3. This unexpected change added extra excitement to the event, with the 123.2m Lürssen yacht now taking center stage as one of the world's biggest yachts ever showcased at MYS.

The superyacht for sale can be viewed by appointment only at berth R02 on Quai Rainier III, with the price available upon request. Built in 2015 and refitted in 2023, the yacht is making its debut at the Monaco Yacht Show. Listed on the yacht sales market just two days ago, the owner is believed to be Khaled bin Sultan al Saud.

At 90m, the Oceanco yacht DAR is also on display at Quai Rainier III, with a public asking price of $231,458,000. This multi-award-winning superyacht, built in 2018, underwent a comprehensive refit in 2024 to prepare the yacht for sale

The third-highest publicly known price tag at the Monaco Yacht Show is for the Amels yacht ENERGY. This 77.8m (255ft) yacht, built in 2022, is listed for sale with a guide price of $221,443,000. Viewings are by appointment only at berth H15 on Quai l'Hirondelle. ENERGY is a full custom yacht designed by Espen Oeino, with an interior designed by Zuretti.

It’s interesting to note that the deal to build ENERGY was finalized during a Monaco show in 2017. With a gross tonnage of 2,885, this yacht stands as one of Amels' largest projects to date in terms of volumetric measurement, or Gross Tonnage (GT), which is the true measure of a yacht's size. This is noteworthy despite the previous Amels delivery, the 89m (292ft) HERE COMES THE SUN, being longer.
