Saint Thomas’s Yacht Haven Grande has won its third Superyacht Marina of the Year Award, following victories in 2016 and 2019.
The trophy was given by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA), a worldwide group dedicated to developing marinas and rewarding those who provide the best customer service and value for money, while meeting all of the yachting industry standards.
Phil Blake, general manager of Yacht Haven Grande, commented: “To be selected for this accolade by the captains and officers of some of the world’s most notable yachts is truly an honor.
“To receive the Towergate TYHA award over two consecutive years – and for the third time – is a testament to our state-of-the-art superyacht facility,” he continued, “but moreover to the amazing IGY [Marinas] personalities from operations to our cooperate staff who all strive to make every visit a secure, memorable and fun one. I couldn’t be prouder.”

The award follows the 2019 announcement that Yacht Haven Grande had become the first North American marina, and fourth overall, to earn the coveted ‘Platinum’ TYHA status. This makes it among the best marinas in the world, needing to score at least 95% in an assessment that measures the satisfaction of various berth holders.
The ‘Platinum’ designation was made even more impressive by the fact that the marina had weathered two Category Five hurricanes in the preceding year.
Situated on the south coast of US Virgin Island Saint Thomas, Yacht Haven Grande has 46 berths and can moor superyachts up to 300m (656’) long. Among its plethora of amenities are two tennis courts, a swimming pool, a gym, a beach volleyball court, restaurants and a shopping centre.

The marina also offers all berth holders laundry services, waste disposal services and high-speed fuel pumps.
