The 50-metre Benetti Alunya is the sixth hull in Benetti’s hugely popular B.Now 50M range.
There's a reason for this popularity because the B.Now 50M packs a lot of features into its 499 GT frame, including a gym, tender garage, five guest cabins, and, of course, the Oasis deck with drop-down balconies. Could this be one of the most successful 50m yachts ever? Read on to find out.

Review Video
Benetti designed the B.Now range in-house, with exterior styling by Redman Whiteley Dixon, to streamline production and reduce build time. By using a standardised platform, Benetti has a quicker turnaround on these big yachts while maintaining the brand’s high standards.
This yacht is the sixth in the B.Now 50M series, but only the second to feature the Oasis Deck - a reimagined take on the traditional stern swim platform/beach club. Benetti challenged RWD to rethink the concept of a beach club, as some of the more traditional designs had lost their connection with the water. The result, first seen on the Oasis 40M yacht Debra One, has been a game-changer for Benetti, and while the “connection to the water” trend is almost set in stone across the industry, few do it as well as the Oasis Deck.
The Oasis Deck takes the aft deck and makes it a 90-square-metre open beach club, tiered by hydraulically operated terraces that open out across the full beam of the yacht. Fold-out wings extend the deck’s width, and a central infinity pool is integrated into the main social space, flush with the deck and right at the water’s edge.

Benetti's Hybrid System
Beyond her design, the B.Now range is also at the forefront of hybrid propulsion. Benetti’s E-Mode Hybrid System, also available for the B.Century and B.Yond ranges, has diesel generators, electric motors, and lithium-ion batteries. The system is installed on Benetti’s 107.6m Luminosity and adapts to different yacht sizes, operating in either Parallel Hybrid Mode (PTO/PTI) or Serial Hybrid Mode with diesel-electric propulsion.
In Enhanced Comfort Mode for slow-speed cruising, diesel engines remain off while generators supply power to electric motors. Extended Range Mode is optimised for longer journeys, using the main engines to power the electric motors as shaft generators while the generators stay off. Eco Transfer Mode runs on a single propulsion engine with both generators off, reducing fuel consumption and CO₂/NOx emissions. Eco Cruise Mode is designed for short coastal trips, allowing for zero-emission operation in protected seas, depending on battery capacity.

One of the standout aspects of this design is how well the decks are linked. Moving between them feels completely natural - there’s no hunting for hidden staircases or passageways. Everything flows really well, making it easy for guests to navigate the yacht.
Main Saloon
That backlit bar is really striking. The moment you step into the saloon, it grabs your attention - a proper centrepiece for the space. Around it, there's a cosy little seating area, perfect for a quiet drink or a chat before moving through to the main lounging space. A lobby area creates a natural divide, leading into a much larger, more open seating area. Sofas on both sides make it a relaxed, comfortable spot to unwind. The lighting is beautifully done too, with soft backlighting and little ceiling spots that twinkle like starlight. And, of course, there are those huge windows. When you're out at sea, this is where you want to be, drinking in the view.

Upper Saloon
The upper saloon is an absolutely lovely space, typically used for more informal occasions - could be for a quiet coffee, a bit of work, or a meeting in a relaxed setting. It’s an inviting spot, and it connects to the bridge deck aft, creating that natural flow still between indoor and outdoor living.
That connection is key, particularly with the crew pantry positioned just off to the side. A sliding door separates it from the saloon, and its location is quite practical, as there's a link directly down to the galley below. With meals and refreshments constantly being served, it’s designed to make life easier for the crew. A TV is also integrated into a mirror on the wall, keeping the space uncluttered.

Owner's Cabin
The owner's cabin is very luxurious and comes with a split walk-in wardrobe. Each side has its own entrance, so both spaces are completely separate. And then there's the terrace - a permanent outdoor extension rather than a fold-down balcony. Through a sliding door, you’re outside in your own private space, complete with a shower, which is a brilliant touch.
If you’d rather shower somewhere a bit more private, you’re just as well taken care of. The bathroom is enormous, featuring twin showers, twin sinks, and a separate toilet cubicle. Storage is in abundance too, with cabinets throughout the space.
Forward, the sleeping area has a huge central bed, surrounded by lovely design details. The light panelling contrasts with high-gloss dark wood, and it just looks gorgeous. A wall-mounted TV is opposite, while a smartly sized bureau and a cosy little sofa add to the comfort. The lighting is another standout, from lovely statement pieces to handy flexible reading lights. There are bedside controls that allow for easy adjustment of blinds and lighting. Whether you're the owner or the principal charter guest, this is an undeniably beautiful place to retreat to at the end of the day.

Guest Accommodation
Down on the lower deck, there are four guest cabins in total. In this lobby there's a servery area which is a practical addition, so guests can help themselves to coffee or snacks without needing the crew.
There are a pair of identical doubles forward, and while they may not have the largest footprint, there’s still space for a good-sized bed, bedside tables, and all the expected features. Each cabin has full control over lighting, blinds, and entertainment via iPads, with those flexible reading lights making a welcome appearance. The reason for the slightly more compact sleeping space is the walk-through wardrobe, a feature not often found in guest cabins of this size. Storage is generous, and the wardrobe leads directly to marble-clad bathrooms with a separate shower.
Aft of the servery, a watertight bulkhead separates the other two guest staterooms, which have a slightly different layout. There’s more floor space in the cabin itself, though they lose the walk-in wardrobe. Storage is still well handled, though, and these rooms feel particularly open thanks to their layout, which flows into the bathrooms. Sliding doors provide privacy when needed, but otherwise, the twin sinks, large shower cubicle, and natural light add to the whole cabin's spacious, open feel.

Crew Accommodation
Crew access is via a door on the port side of the main deck. In the pantry, there’s a door here with a foot switch leading back into the saloon which is something for the crew to use when they’re carrying plates, as they can open it without using their hands. This pantry links directly to the one on the bridge deck. There’s a prep station with a sink and storage underneath, and this is also where you access the main galley.
The galley itself is a great size, with a central island and a big window letting in plenty of natural light. Cooking appliances are well laid out, with cookers on one side, a hob on the other, and loads of storage and cooling space. Everything is neatly arranged so the chef can plate up meals before the stewards take them around the yacht.
A staircase from here leads down to the crew mess. First, you arrive at the dinette - a big seating area where the crew can eat and have some downtime. There’s a TV mounted on the wall, along with cameras to monitor movements on and off the boat, plus comms equipment. A sink, storage space, and a dishwasher are down here too, though most of the heavy-duty meal prep happens in the main deck galley. There’s a large storage area with additional cooling space for stocking up on provisions for longer trips.
Forward, there are a couple of crew cabins. The engineer gets a private cabin with a single bed, a desk for work, a private bathroom, and some storage. For the rest of the crew, there are bunk cabins, which are a pretty good size for a yacht like this. Each one has two bunks, storage, and, of course, a private bathroom. She runs with a crew of 10, but if needed, you can use the Pullman berth on the bridge deck to house an eleventh.

The bridge is Alunya's nerve centre, where the skipper will be spending most of their time when Alunya is underway. Communications equipment is positioned just inside the entrance, with VHFs mounted on the bulkhead alongside weather monitoring systems.
Facing forward, the bridge has five large MFDs, matched by equally tall windscreens that provide an excellent view ahead. There’s a small perch to lean against during passage but no helm chair. As long as the screens are in sight, the seating arrangement doesn’t really matter, though retrofitting a chair would be an easy fix.
The controls are what you’d expect for a yacht of this size - a prop steering wheel, a pair of throttles, and balanced stern thrusters for more precise manoeuvring. Alunya is also fitted with fin stabilisers and runs on twin MAN 1400hp V12 engines which are the sort you’d typically find in an 18.3-metre (60ft) production planing yacht. But here, they’re pushing a 50-metre yacht along at a comfortable 12-knot cruise, with an impressive range of 4,500nm.
Just aft of the bridge is the captain’s cabin, which is a private space with its own ensuite, conveniently close. Opposite, there’s a room that serves as an owner’s study or a crew office. It also has a Pullman berth, which folds down from the side, providing an additional sleeping space near the bridge. The yacht typically runs with a crew of 10, but this allows for an 11th if required. Another bathroom is in here too, always useful on longer trips. Amidships, this entire section can be completely closed off with a door for added privacy. There's also a separate day head and a staircase leading down to the next deck.

Oasis Deck
We first saw this concept on the B.Now 40M, but on the 50M, it’s bigger & better. That extra half a metre (1.6ft) of beam makes quite a lot of difference. The balconies on either side open to create even more deck space - big enough to set up sun loungers and parasols on. They are also inset with glass so you can look down at the ocean. The real star of the show, though, is the infinity hot tub, centrally positioned with seating that wraps around it.
Down at water level, the design really comes into its own. The bathing platform extends the living area right to the edge of the sea. There’s also a carbon fibre shower, so you can rinse off properly after a dip in the ocean or a soak in the tub. And then there’s the passerelle, which lifts to meet the quay for boarding, but also lowers into the water, becoming a staircase straight into the sea. It’s a fabulous space.

Through a hatch, there's a gym just next to the engine room. This is a proper workout space with enough room for an exercise bike, a bench, free weights, and even an exercise ball. It’s a dedicated spot to get a session in, away from the main guest areas but still well-equipped.
There’s also a bathroom attached, so you can shower straight after a workout. I’d be skipping the shower and heading straight up those steps for a dip in the sea instead.

Aft Bridge Deck
This is where you find the main outdoor dining area onboard Alunya. It’s most comfortable for ten, but if needed, it can accommodate twelve. Alongside, there’s a large servery where the crew can prepare and serve, with plenty of storage and cooling space tucked neatly beneath.
Another nice detail is the teak overhead, mirroring the design on the sundeck. That central runner theme continues here, drawing the eye into the space and giving the whole area a very refined, cohesive feel. On the bridge deck aft, there's a relaxed seating area set away from the main dining table. It’s a great spot to enjoy a drink, slightly elevated so you still feel connected to the surroundings, but with the option of shelter if needed.

Foredeck
There are some great little details scattered across the decks. Take the deck drains, for example - usually nothing to write home about, but here, the Benetti logo is nicely etched into the stainless steel top. If a wave ever does make it over the bow, and it would have to be a big one, the water will drain away swiftly - and stylishly.
Alongside the bridge, there are doors on either side. They give the captain and crew access onto the deck, where they can step straight out to the wing stations for docking and manoeuvring.
On the foredeck, there's a beautifully curved glass screen that wraps around in front of the bridge, leading to yet another inviting social space. A huge forward-facing sofa takes up the area, with a smaller one opposite and a table between them and this would be an ideal place for enjoying the view over the bow. There’s optional shade if you need it, and another sun pad positioned even further forward. The foredeck is quite high up on Alunya, and for good reason as right beneath it is the tender garage.

Sun Deck
A nice detail on this sundeck is rather than the usual vertical planking, the teak is laid horizontally along the sides, creating a central walkway that draws the eye down the length of the deck. Forward there's a big stretch of sunbathing space. Amidships, there’s a dining table that can be expanded out, with serving stations on either side, served by a grill, cooling space, and a sink. A crew access hatch allows them to move down to the pantry and to the galley without disturbing guests.
One of the best parts of this design is how well-protected the sundeck is while still feeling open. Glass panels line both sides, and a massive hardtop provides shade, but it’s not fixed - there are two canvas sunroofs, one forward and one aft, so you can adjust them depending on the conditions.
On a sunny day, you can open everything up, letting the breeze and sunshine in, but if the weather turns, it’s just as easy to close it off and stay sheltered. The furniture is all movable, so the crew can rearrange it to suit the occasion. The two large seating areas, symmetrically arranged on either side, create a sociable spot, while right at the stern, it’s back to sunbathing again. Three sun loungers sit beneath a removable shade, so if you prefer full exposure to the elements, the crew can take it down.

Tender Garage
This is very much a working area, which is clear from the switch to synthetic teak. Far more durable than the real thing and much easier for the crew to maintain, it's well suited to a space where tenders are being launched, lines handled, and anchoring operations are carried out.
The open-plan layout makes it a practical space for the crew to work in. Over on the starboard side, there’s a Williams tender alongside a pair of jet skis, all launched via a side-opening door. The gantry crane is on hand to winch them into the water. Overhead, there's a rescue tender, launched with a manual crane, though that's reserved for emergencies.
Alunya also carries a 12-metre (39.4ft) Saxdor rib chase boat - a serious piece of kit that is towed on longer passages.

Alunya's engine room has a control room, where the engineer has oversight over everything. There's a clear view through to the engine room and a big screen displaying all the boat’s systems - tank levels, power management, the works. Generator controls are up here too, all laid out in a neat workspace.
Through into the machinery space, and there’s plenty of room to move. Twin generators sit neatly in place, and access between the engines is easy. There’s even a workbench for any maintenance jobs. Cool air is being pumped in, so it’s not the usual stifling engine room heat - quite the opposite, actually. And between the twin MAN V12 1400s, they almost look small in a space this big.
There are twin fuel filters so you can switch over if one gets blocked and water makers neatly over in the corner. There are two on board, each capable of producing 350 litres (92.5 gallons) of fresh water per hour, so there’s plenty of capacity for long stints at sea without worrying about topping up.

Our Verdict
There are plenty of impressive yachts in this size bracket, but the Benetti B.Now 50M has crammed an awful lot into its 50-metre frame. Whether it's for private use or charter, it delivers some serious space and flexibility. It’s designed to be enjoyed at anchor, with the outdoor areas and that spectacular Oasis Deck, but it’s got the legs for adventure too. With a range of 4,500 nautical miles, it’s as comfortable crossing the Atlantic as it is soaking up the sun in a quiet bay.

Rivals to Consider
The Gulf Craft Majesty 160 gets ahead for accommodating guests. With its capacity to sleep up to 14 guests in 7 cabins, it edges ahead of the Benetti B.Now 50M Oasis, which has a five cabin layout for 10 guests. Built in the UAE with a semi-displacement GRP hull, it balances strength and lightness, while its interiors, by Cristiano Gatto, bring a modern, sophisticated feel.
When speed is of the essence, the Heesen 50m Aluminium Semi-Displacement leaves the Benetti B.Now 50M Oasis behind with a cruising speed of 21 knots. With Omega Architects behind its sleek, modern exterior and Heesen’s Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) increasing efficiency, it’s the yacht for owners who like to move quickly between destinations.
The Wider Yachts Wider 150 is tailored for smaller groups of 11 guests. It prioritises comfort and luxury, similar to the Benetti B.Now 50M Oasis, but its smaller guest capacity might appeal to a more intimate experience. The Wider 150 also has a hybrid propulsion system, while the Italian-crafted interiors by Ideaeitalia focus on open, airy living spaces.
For the adventurers, the Bilgin Yachts Bilgin 163 has impressive range of 5,000 nautical miles, edging ahead of the B.Now 50M Oasis. Designed by Unique Yacht Design, with interiors by H2 Yacht Design, you will be in luxury for an extended time at sea.
The Sunseeker 50M Ocean is another competitor which is ever so slightly larger at 500GT, making it the largest among its rivals. Sunseeker offers a customisable interior by Design Unlimited and a beach club with three expanding balconies.
